Property falsely advertised. booked this for my mother in law&the listing has been changed since. Originally it said“You'll have the entire home to yourself &will only share it with other guests in your party.”& the property is still listed as “entire home” which isn’t true. It is a single room where the family is living in the home &also has renters in other parts of the house. The fridge is so over packed you have no room for any of your own things. They initially advertised that laundry was an included amenity yet when checked in was told it is 10 a load. After booking through the app there was a discount applied*AS PER THE APP*I received a personal text message from the host stating that the app applied a discount to the listing that they didn’t approve &was requesting me to pay for the discount difference of 124.80 before check in even though they said they were contacting the company personally. On top of that they stated that there was a“refundable”debit or cash security deposit at check in for incidentals. I contacted host prior on price& how it works &was told it is 200&is refundable. The host is refusing to refund. Screening of properties/hosts needs to be more efficient making sure that security deposits are done through the app allowed outside the app to make sure people that are booking get their refund&needs to make sure listings/what is offered are correct.
