This was our second great stay at Aquila's cabin for a spring hiking trip. Very comfortable cabin in a quiet, scenic location. Very private, yet close to Skyline Drive access, groceries, etc. Nice hot tub felt great after the day's hiking adventure. The owners (Alex & Sher) are always responsive to our inquiries & very helpful. We plan to return again!
What an amazing place to stay ,relax, and enjoy nature. Beautiful views, creek to play near, fire pit. Just had the best time. Perfect weather too! Then watched the snow start coming down while drinking coffee on our last morning. Thank you for hosting our family!
We stayed there for my sons wedding weekend and it was perfect! The home is cozy and inviting and the space was perfect for my family. The owners were wonderful and we would definitely stay there again!
The cabin was everything that I imagined. Clean and well kept. I would give 5 stars except that the bridges that you have to cross to get to the cabin was terrifying. Not something the Owner can change but that’s the only bad thing about it. The host was Amazing and communicated in a timely manner. Overall great stay.
This property had everything we needed for our girls trip! From spices/cookware to extra blankets, pillows, and towels, there was nothing that was not thought of. We enjoyed the hot tub, scenic property, and fire pit. The host was very communicative and ensured everything was provided upon check in.
A beautiful place to stay for a quiet mini reunion! Great location! We had wonderful fall hikes in the Shenandoah Mountains! Plenty of space and the guest bedroom with a fire place and large windows were an extra bonus!
The cabin was everything and more than we had anticipated. It was clean and cute and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed not only the cabin and all the amenities but the screened in back porch (which was super cute) as well as the fire pit and surrounding area for hiking. Great place!

Wonderful place for time with family and adventures!
This was a great to place to stay with our family. Lots of space, beautiful scenery, wonderful hiking trails at the National Park. Loved listening to the barred owls and whippoorwills in the screened in porch at night. We would highly recommend this place. Excellent communication with host as well.
From the moment you enter this cabin you can tell that the owner takes good care of the property. It has comfortable furniture, clean rooms, and is a beautiful cabin overall.
The property is secluded but still very close to stores, breweries, and other local attractions.
I would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is exactly as you hope! Very cozy warm and tucked away in the woods. The property manager was very accommodating and even set us up with a welcome basket!
Will definitely visit again in the future

Thanks for the review. We are thrilled that you liked the cabin and we would love to host you another time.
We used this as home base for our stay to celebrate our JMU graduate. Comfortable and spacious. Would be a great location to get away and recharge. Wished we had more time to enjoy the natural surroundings. Owners were very responsive to any questions we had.
Fantastic place to stay! So much to do in this VRBO! Loved hearing the water from the creek, wonderful fire pit with lights and s’mores, big projector for movies, hot tub after day hikes in Shenandoah, corn hole, tons of games and fun record player to listen to old music. Well appointed house with lovely decorations.
The large windows in the detached portion make you feel like you are in the outdoors. The cabin is otherwise beautifully decorated and comfortable! We would love to stay again!
This property had everything we needed for a beautiful stay and a home base for Shenandoah National Park.It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and our small dog that we brought with us. It was cozy, beautiful, immaculate, and had everything we needed. It would be perfect as well if you had kids with you or an extra couple with you. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!
The cabin was very well stocked and we very much appreciated the welcome basic of smores. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the patio is absolutely amazing. A great place for a weekend (or longer get away!) The hosts were also very responsive and helpful as well. Thank you!

We had a marvelous time here, relaxing, listening to the birds, wading in the stream, hiking in nearby Shenandoah National Park, riding bikes provided by the host. The house is extremely well appointed, very pretty, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Thanks, Rives! We couldn’t agree with you more! Also, thank you for your thorough communication during the stay- we’ve already implemented your suggestions! All the best to the future World Cup soccer player! Hope to host you again!
This was our second visit to the cabin. We visited in the early spring and enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to return this fall. It was another great visit. We split our time between lounging around the cabin and property, and driving to nearby shops and restaurants. We will probably return again soon; this is a great property in an ideal setting.

We had a great time and loved the house. The only issue we had were the ants. They were everywhere and it made us hesitant to sit and leave our items in the main house.

We are so glad you enjoyed the cabin! We are so sorry you had to contend with the ants! Thank you for letting us know. The cabin is nestled in the National park and from time to time we have to battle nature’s little surprises. We do everything we can to mitigate those kinds of issues, but we appreciate you letting us know and will address the issue immediately. We hope it won’t deter you from another visit!
