The Flyby is a superb cozy but large cabin in a wonderful location overlooking the Atlantic and with plenty of surrounding grounds. Tony was a friendly and helpful host, and gave suggestions for local hikes which were much appreciated. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat close to Cape Breton it would be hard to beat.

If you are looking for an absolutely breathtaking site on the ocean, I doubt you could find a better one. It sits on a cliff with a large yard featuring multiple fire pits and seating groups that offer spectacular views of the ocean and rocky shore below. The cabin is whimsy, rustic, and cozy, with great art work and reading material to enjoy by the wood stove when the weather chases you inside. The Owners live a mile or so away, so if you need assistance during your stay, as we did, the only thing we found that exceeded this setting was their hospitality. I wish we lived closer because I would stay here often.

Great hosts and beautiful location right on a cliff overlooking the sea. Remote location away from the crowds but excellent for biking and kayaking.

I'm from Newfoundland originally and retired in Nova Scotia. Concrete projects, landscaping and gardening fill my days and we have a hobby farm a short walk from the Flyby. We have dogs and cats for company, chickens for fresh eggs, cows for milk, cheese yogurt, meat, and horses just for fun.
