Quick and easy booking. Clean and spacious basement suite. Communication with owner was fast and efficient with my questions and concerns. Will definitely book again.
The suite is very nice. Large, new, clean, kitchen is well set up, and there are thermostats with heaters different areas. A challenge of a basement suite with a very active family living above, is the noise. I was only in the suite from about 8pm to 10am, but the doors and cabinets opening and closing, vacuuming on a Sunday evening at 9:30pm, etc., wasn't the best. I've stayed in BnBs all over Europe and this one was the noisiest. The owners are new so maybe they can be more aware and lessen the noise level, and reduce it late at night and early in the morning in particular. From a service perspective, seeing the owners fully shovel their driveway and walkway, while leaving my door area with knee high drifts, was a little surprising. They did shovel it after I sent an email. Also, around noon on my final day they sent a message that the AC was going to be installed and that "I may notice some techs moving or working in the main mechanical room". I assumed that meant they were going to walk into my space since a door in the suite has a sign that says, "Mechanical Room". I drove across the city to put away personal items. For a non emergency, earlier communication (24 hours would be nice) or rescheduling it for the next day or two, after I'm gone, would be more appropriate. My time in Saskatoon was precious to me as I was spending time and taking care of my elderly, health challenged parents. These VRBO owners are very new and I hope they take this as helpful feedback.

Thank you for the feedback Eileen, Would've been more helpful privately though,
We feel rather unhappy to read this, especially since we communicated our readiness to attend to any concern at anytime. We wanted to ensure your stay was great.
The A/C installation had nothing to do with the basement, I only informed you so you're not surprised to find techs moving around the exterior of the house, particularly around the basement window unexpectedly. There's always a separate mechanical room for the main floor.
Apologies for the noise, it's the first time we've gotten such complaint, we are definitely reviewing that immediately.
It snowed overnight, I woke up late to your message (sent 8:46am) and it was attended to immediately.
I'm not sure there was an issue with garbage. We asked that you left it in the basement for us to handle and you did.
We look forward to hosting you in the near future and we will always keep communication line open to make our guests comfortable as much as possible.
Thank you.
