Secluded Cottage Retreat near Kahurangi National Park in Tapawera, South Island

This secluded, pet-friendly cottage retreat is located close to the Kahurangi National Park, in Tapawera, South Island. With space for two glampers, this is the ideal place for a couple to enjoy a romantic wilderness escape. There is one cozy bedroom, and one full bathroom. The bedroom comes with a spacious queen-size bed, a small sitting area, and a handy closet. In the bright and modern bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. Freshly-laundered linens and towels are provided by the host, as well as a selection of complimentary toiletries.



In the light and welcoming sitting area, glampers can snuggle up on the comfy sofa. A short stroll through the surrounding forest, down a set of steps, will bring guests to an enchanting riverside bathtub, where they’ll be able to lay back and listen to the meandering water, and the native birdlife.



Those arriving by car will find plenty of space to park on the premises. Outside, there is a lush garden, and a lovely furnished deck, with barbecue facilities.



Inside, there is free Wi-Fi access, for those who wish to stay connected. For entertainment, the host has provided a selection of fun board games. The cottage is completely off-grid and comes with solar power and gas hot water heating. Guests will have the use of a laundry, which is located in a separate building. A complimentary continental breakfast is included, for each morning of the stay. This property has the advantage of being pet-friendly.
