NEW ADDITION! Welcome to House of Views—a stunning and luxurious beachfront escape where the name says it all. With sweeping water views from every angle, this prime location home offers a private boardwalk that leads straight out onto the soft sand. Featuring 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths, it’s the perfect blend of classy creature comforts and laid-back coastal charm.



The Space:

Inside, House of Views is all about light, flow, and that constant reminder that you are, in fact, at the beach. Expansive windows pull the Gulf into the living spaces, while an open-concept layout keeps everyone connected—whether you’re cooking, lounging, or just pausing to admire the ever-changing sky.



The kitchen is fully equipped and dressed to impress, ready for everything from quick breakfasts before a beach run to full-scale dinners with a salty breeze drifting in. The living area invites you to sink in and stay awhile, with comfortable seating and front-row views of sunrises, sunsets, and the occasional dolphin cameo.



Each bedroom offers a relaxing retreat, while the spacious deck invites you to soak in sunrises, sunsets, and salty breezes.



BED/BATH CONFIGURATION: (accommodates up to 14 guests)

~ Bedroom 1/Primary: King bed and en suite bath with double sinks, soaking tub, and huge walk-in shower (sleeps 2, upper main level)

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.



The Neighborhood:

Stavanger Beach feels like Galveston’s quieter, better-kept secret—a stretch where the soundtrack is more waves and seabirds than crowds and traffic. Located on the far West End, this small neighborhood is known for its tranquil atmosphere and large, modern beach homes. Unlike the bustling Seawall area, this stretch of coastline offers a quiet oasis primarily focused on residential relaxation and family-friendly beach activities.



Getting Around:

While Stavanger Beach itself is a residential area, it is within a short driving distance of major Galveston landmarks:

~ Outdoor Adventure: Galveston Island State Park (approx. 5 miles away) offers hiking, bird watching, and fishing.

~ Family Fun: Tourist favorites like Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark are about 18 miles to the east.

~ Dining & History: The Strand Historic District, known for its unique shopping and Victorian architecture, is easily accessible for a day trip.

In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels which are replaced upon every turnover including the duvet covers and shams (we've heard not every company does this, and we think that's just gross). We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



🐾 PUP-FRIENDLY:

Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!



CANCELLATION POLICY:

For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.



After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.

An awesome July Fourth Week. We truly loved our stay. The 979 Host was awesome. Clear communication from booking to post departure was outstanding. Their welcome gifts and information booklet was great. Private boardwalk to the beach was nice. Even on the Fourth of July the beach had space to have family fun. We had 6 adults, 6 grandkids and two large dogs. The five bedrooms were perfect.Plenty of bathrooms (4.5 bath). Very pet friendly host also. Even my two pups were given a welcome package.Large kitchen included oversized fridge, large stove, drip or kcup coffeemaker. Plenty of plates, bowls, cups, silverware…enough to feed a small army.Linen and bedding was clean. The breeze from the gulf is awesome! You can enjoy on the bottom floor or on the second or third balcony/wrap around porch. The third floor balcony has a bar style table facing the gulf. We got to see Pelican’s fly by every evening. And unlike staying in the midst of Galveston we didn’t have any seagulls hanging around us. Which is a blessing in disguise. As much as we love the attractions on the north end of the Island we totally loved the remote feeling of being on the south end. A 20-25 minute drive to the attractions isn’t that bad. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend to my family and friends!
