The Space:

Just a 7-minute walk to Balnarring Beach and the Tulum General Store, you can easily wander down for a swim, a coffee or enjoy a lazy day at the beach without needing the car. When you do head out, the Balnarring village is only a 5-minute drive with lots of lovely restaurants and a Hotel. Merricks General Store and wineries are nearby, and the Peninsula Hot Springs is just a scenic half-hour drive away.



HOUSE FEATURES:



The Beach Shack Hideaway is perfect for families or a group of friends, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living areas so everyone has space to relax. The well equipped kitchen and the outdoor gas BBQ allows guests to cook a delicous meal at home, with indoor and outdoor dining options.



The large outdoor undercover deck overlooking the garden and bushland is ideal for alfresco dining, enjoying a morning coffee, afternoon drinks and nibbles or a nap in the hammocks. With only one neighbour and the beautiful bushland surrounds, it feels peaceful and private.



Inside, the open plan kitchen and living/dining are are kept cosy in winter with a freestanding gas log heater that warms the whole house. The comfortable main living area features a new Smart TV plus a wall panel heater, and there are portable oil heaters in other rooms for extra comfort. There are also pedestal fans to keep the house cool in summer.



The grassed back garden is fully fenced and guests can relax by the fire pit on cooler days/evenings. There's also plenty to keep everyone entertained with a cupboard full of board games, and for beach days there are boogie boards, wetsuits and a beach cricket set!

STRICT NO PARTY POLICY – No Schoolies, Bucks or Hens party groups or other such functions/events allowed. We prefer mature adults or family groups this is due to the strict code of conduct enforced by the Mornington Peninsula Shire for Short Stays. If you have any queries please contact us pre-booking so we can clarify.

Large younger groups (under 30 years old) if approved, may be required to pay an additional fully refundable direct bond and a daily supervision fee of $100.

A $65 Damage Waiver Fee applies to stays at this property.

The Neighborhood:

Balnarring Beach, also known as Tulum Beach, features sweeping crescents of coastline and a foreshore reserve which offers safe swimming along sandy stretches of the coast. Racehorses are trained on the beach early in the morning six days a week.



Balnarring Beach holds the award for the “Cleanest Beach in Victoria” from the Keep Australia Beautiful committee. Merricks Creek joins Western Port at Balnarring, forming a narrow peninsula of land which is traversed by walking paths and footbridges around the shallow creek. One of the most scenic parts of Balnarring Beach is around Cliff Road which is situated on a bushy headland. A walking track winds its way down the cliff face to the sandy beach below, offering spectacular views along the coast.



Balnarring has a charming village offering gourmet restaurants and cafes, stylish boutiques and homewares shops. Wineries are close by, just waiting for you to spend a leisurely day with family and friends.

This property is fully fenced and pet friendly, however some of the the fencing is wire and approx. waist height (or slightly higher), so it may not be adequate for your dog or small children.
