Luxury cabin w/private spa, epic valley views & resident wildlife!
Perched high above the Hunter Valley Hinterland, Wildwood Lodge is a private wilderness retreat where goannas, eagles, echidnas, kangaroos and wallabies roam freely at your door — and the valley views go forever.
Days here have their own rhythm. Coffee on the deck as the mist lifts. Wildlife at the door. Long lunches that become long evenings. A soak in the private spa as the sun sets over the valley.
This is what it feels like to truly get away.
The space
Wildwood Lodge sits on its own private acre within a 300-hectare wilderness resort, bordered by conservation land that has never been developed. What you see here is genuinely wild — unchanged and untouched.
The lodge has been thoughtfully renovated in an elevated country aesthetic: warm timber, natural linens, layered textures. Beautiful and genuinely liveable without being precious.
The open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is oriented to make the most of the sweeping valley views. Doors open wide onto the large deck, blurring the line between inside and out. It's the kind of space where meals run long and conversations go late.
Outside, the large deck is the heart of the lodge. The private outdoor spa bath overlooks uninterrupted mountain views — a place to watch the sun set over the valley with a glass of wine in hand.
The wildlife here is unlike anywhere else. Goannas three metres long, wedge-tailed eagles, echidnas, kangaroos and wallabies are regular visitors at your doorstep.
Bedrooms
• Master bedroom: queen bed, private ensuite • Bedroom 2: queen bed, valley views • Bedroom 3: bunk suite, double below, single above, plus pull-out single sofa bed. Styled in neutral linens that feel refined, not rustic. Ideal for families or groups.
Wildwood Lodge is set up to accommodate your group comfortably and sustainably. All bedrooms are freshly prepared, however, to minimise linen use, water consumption and energy, rooms are secured until needed. The number of rooms opened is based on your confirmed guest numbers.
Should your group size change, additional rooms are accessible via a secure lockbox with the applicable per-guest fee applied. Please ensure your guest numbers are accurate at booking so we can prepare the lodge accordingly.
