This spacious 4-bedroom home blends warm Rancho Aztec charm with modern comfort, featuring flexible sleeping arrangements, inviting gathering spaces, and a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Enjoy a peaceful stay close to local attractions while soaking in the unique desert-inspired vibes, colorful accents, and welcoming feel that make this home unforgettable. Ideal for multi-family getaways, extended stays, or weekend adventures.

Take in the views of the active eagles nest on the property, overlooking the serene acreage.
10 minutes to the river, beach or lake. 2 minutes to the famous Goats on the roof attraction and 5 mins to grocery shops yet it feels like you’re much more rural.

#1 - 1 king bed with ensuite bathroom
#2 - 2 twin XL beds that can also make 1 King bed
#3 - 2 twin XL beds that can also make 1 King bed
#4 - Bunk beds twin overtop of double

Please note that while we can accommodate up to 8 people, that will require 2 sharing the bunk bed room as we do not permit sleeping on the couch. If the sleeping arrangements don’t meet your requirements, you are more than welcome do bring your own blow up mattress and bedding but must not exceed the permitted number of guests. This space is part of a retreat centre and as such all guests must be respectful of their noise levels at all times as there may be classes, retreats or workshops happening at anytime from 5am to 9pm on the property. All pets and children must be supervised and are to remain within the Rancho fenced in boundaries. Thank you for understanding

Turn off the lights and lock the doors

Please note that we are rural and that water conservation in the summer is necessary.
Rural living means septic and well water. No flushing anything except toilet paper down toilets. Only water down drains.
Your cleaning fee covers general clean and flip over of property. Guests are expected to clean up after themselves when using kitchen, bbq etc

The property had a lot of privacy while still having close access to both the beaches of Parksville and the adventures in Coombs. Lots of space for our large family and pets, was well stocked and had a smooth check in process. Would definitely recommend for a home away from home on the island.

The house @ Rancho was very clean, well stocked and convenient as described per the listing. The house does get very cold though.The space is also very pet friendly.It is very important that Future guests be made aware BEFOREHAND of the strict regulations @ Rancho to ensure a quiet environment, as well as the continuous monitoring by CCTV cameras of guests’ movements on the premises!If you are looking for a place for a fun-filled family breakaway where kids can run, laugh and play - this is not the place for you.If you are looking for a retreat (what Rancho is all about) please note there is no sauna, pool or hot tub facilities.If you are looking for a place where you are surrounded by acres of nature - please note this place has no walk trails nor access to nature except for the fenced lawn around the house.If you are looking for a quiet, pet-friendly lovely house where you can look out at nature over a chain link fence - this is the place for you.

Leigh - I’m sorry you didn’t have a great stay as clearly you didn’t read the description or house rules before booking and only chose us as we allow 3 dogs. At no point and time were we monitoring you on cctv - we do have outdoor cameras for everyone’s safety and our insurance though. For clarity’s sake - everything I messaged you about was witnessed live and in realtime from my living room window or while walking the dogs on the street. Your kids, and your friends kids who weren’t registered guests staying with us decided to climb the 5’ chainlink fence into our side of the yard and run around shrieking while we had a meditation class running. When I brought this up to you - you stated that you weren’t aware they weren’t allowed to CLIMB A FENCE to play in our yard. Then later while I was sitting in my living room, I saw your kids literally tromping through our raised flower and fruit gardens. When I brought this up, you told me I needed signage to tell kids to not climbe over the fence and not walk in raised gardens. You had briefly enquired of your friends and their kids could stay at our place either inside or in their rv in our driveway, which I said we could accommodate and could discuss. There was no discussion, just your friend staying here and hooking their rv up to our house power. So, no, this certainly wasn’t the place for your group. But I can pretty safely assure you that it wasn’t us or the space that was the issue. Please read description before booking
