Beautiful home in a quiet area close to the lake. Lots of room and beautiful views. Stocked well with shampoos, basic seasonings, etc. Hot tub is private from other house on property. Great communication with host.
This was our second stay at this property and we thoroughly enjoyed it, again :)It’s a great place for a quiet family getaway. It’s tucked away and private, perfect place to unwind. Looking forward to next time!
We loved our stay! The home was very clean and roomy. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and I am really picky (it can make or break a good review for me). The view is amazing, the hot tub was perfect and clean. Plenty of privacy and a great property to explore. My kids loved the games and game room. The top deck is pretty comparable to others! Tons of wildlife to watch!! It was cloudy and rainy the whole week but we enjoyed the covered patio and hot tub!!
Staying at this place was exactly what we needed. Sunrises over the hills every morning provided so much peace. Seeing deer freely roam around was very pleasant. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed to make it a home away from home. Host was very accommodating and responsive to messages as well. We will definitely look this place up again if we are back in this area.
This was a super cute home and great stay! We had adults and kids on our trip, we did plenty of exploring on the property and kids even built a fort in the woods! You may even find some rock towers in the woods😉 The view was incredible especially the stars and sunrise! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beds we're comfortable, amenities were fully stocked, the place was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this home for your vacation.
Awesome property. Quiet area with a private deck and hot tub. Cooked steaks on the grill and was walking distance to Dam Overlook. Inside was clean and well stocked with fast internet. Property Manager went out of their way to locate lost item we left. Definitely would stay again.
We stayed with our kiddos (4, 6) and my MIL. The property is perfect for all ages. The on site playground and long driveway were perfect for the kids to be able to run around and play. The view is absolutely incredible from both the bottom and top decks. A short distance from Canyon Lake Dam. We walked there several times during our stay. We enjoyed everything and plan to visit again!

Thank you Jill for taking the time to review our property. We look forward to having you back anytime.
The house itself was beautiful. We enjoyed the view and our kids liked playing in the house. The only downside of the house was only 1 TV worked.
Canyon Lake is probably better suited for older kids and adults as the beaches were very muddy and rocky for our 2 and 5 year olds. We spent a lot of our stay in New Braunfels in which we should have just stayed out there. However, this was more due to our children.
The house was clean and a perfect fit. It would be very relaxing for people without toddlers!

We are very sorry that one of the 3 TVs was broken during your stay. We recently had a bad storm which we believe caused a power surge to blow the TV. Unfortunately we were unaware of this prior to checkin. The living room TV has since been replaced with a brand new smart TV.
Canyon Lake is a beautiful place. Great for families and friends to escape city life, relax, and enjoy nature, hiking, tubing, boating etc... Yet close enough to cities like San Marcos, New Braunfels, Austin and San Antonio that make this location great for daytripping as well.
My husband and I spent two nights here. It's a cute little house with a comfy bed and lovely view out back. We live in the suburbs, so it was nice to see how utterly dark the country gets! The property immediately surrounding the home is well-lit, but cut off those lights and you can have some nice star gazing from the massive second-story deck.
Overall it was quite clean, including the hot tub. Note to property caretakers: there's a noticeable amount of small bits of trash just beyond the ground floor deck that needs picking up.
Our only complaint was the condition of the pots and pans. We brought groceries to cook for our entire stay, but everything had a lot of cooked-on grease and whatnot. My husband tried washing them, but when wiped with a paper towel the towels continued to turn brown. He picked up a cheap little pan and some disposables from the conveniently located nearby grocery store. In the grand scheme of things this was a minor added cost.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would return if we're ever in the area again.
A friend and I stayed here for a night, to disconnect from the world. The house was very nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hot tub was nice on the super cold night we were there. The property is super nice and they had a number of different activities like cornhole for a much warmer night. Not very far from the lake or tubing at all. The interaction with the host was via email for us and she was super nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you.
This property is absolutely beautiful. Rachel was prompt when we needed anything, the property had everything we could possibly need on hand, and the grounds were immaculate. I stayed with my husband and 2.5 year old son - we ended up not venturing out into Canyon Lake because of how peaceful the house was!
Everything went well and nice place to stay. We all love it. One issue is the hot water only enough for 2 people to take shower. It takes 1 hour or more to regenerate.

Thank you for taking the time to give us valuable feedback. We have corrected the hot water issue. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
We enjoyed our stay despite the freezing weather.
The home is very comfortable that has a cabin feel.
The communication with the host was great and and quick to respond with questions a d concerns that we had before our trip.
We would definitely come back again.
This property is just as pictured. We spent most of our time sitting on the back porch taking in the Hill Country views. Even though there was another group at the tiny home next door, we didn’t notice and enjoyed the peace and privacy.
We decided to stay here for a day in the lake and a short drive to go float the river..it was all close and convenient...the home was clean and roomy for our family of 6...
Our stay at Canyon Lake was perfect because we had this fantastic house with amazing views as our base of operations. The home was clean and the hot tub hot. Its proximity to the lake, river, and New Braunfels made the stay fun and easy.
The homeowners were super helpful and responsive throughout the whole process.
We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. It helped solidify our decision to move to the area.

About the host

I discovered Canyon Lake in 2011 and quickly fell in love with it's clear turquoise water and refreshing rivers. My husband and I spent summers tubing and kayaking all day to avoid the Texas heat! In 2012, we purchased the vacant land and, through years of dedication and love, built our custom home. It's been a labor of passion, and we're thrilled to share this special place with guests who appreciate it as much as we do.
Over the past five years, we've gained invaluable hosting experience, welcoming travelers from all other the world. While we currently reside in Montgomery, TX, we've assembled a fantastic team of co-hosts, cleaners, and tradespeople to ensure our guests receive top-notch service and in-person assistance whenever needed.
We pride ourselves on kindness, fairness, and professionalism, as well as on providing a clean and well-maintained stay. We strive to provide an exceptional experience for every guest. Previously, we held Premier Host status on VRBO for four consecutive years. Although we took a brief hiatus from hosting on VRBO (the reason why we no longer have premier host status), our commitment to excellence remains unwavering.
We're excited to host you and hope our home becomes a cherished part of your travel memories!
Why they chose this property
We love Canyon Lake because of its beauty and the clear turquoise water. We chose our property on the north side of the lake because of its prime location near things to do and it's in the newer part of Canyon Lake (the south side of the lake is older).
What makes this property unique
The View, proximity to the Canyon Lake Dam, the great team of wonderful hosts/cohosts and top-notch cleaners.
