Keaton’s Streams are NOT what dreams are made of
If you value your hard earned money do not book this property. I am not one to complain and typically do not write bad reviews, just take a loss and move on, however this property is unacceptable and a hazard and should not be rented. The property management company was totally dismissive to our concerns and said they had “maintenance orders” going out but those never came in the 5 days we were there. Had we not traveled 6+ hours and unloaded our children we would have demanded to stay in another house for the money we spent. But I guess that would have been hard to do since Colonial Properties did not return our 4pm call until the next morning at 9am. Sewer smell in the downstairs. Colonial Properties claims its “well water” but I think the plastic bag over the pee trap under the sink is the culprit Rotten floor in downstairs bathroom Mold in the master bath, could not use the main bedroom due to this. It was covered on the ceiling and even the blinds on the window Several dips in the floor where I think if you jumped on it hard enough you’d fall through Rat seen in kitchen and bedroom Toilets hardly flush Rebar rusty posts out of ground several inches very dangerous for children running around or anyone really Horrible experience. Would never rent again or through Colonial Properties. 2400$ wasted. You’ve been warned! Learn from my mistake.

Good location but Cabin…
We really enjoyed our trip and the location was great! Everyone just loved sitting outside listening to the stream. The cabin itself scores about a 5 out of 10. There are a couple of nice areas of the cabin then others… not so much. If the owners would fix some of the issues (plumbing and electrical) then finish up the remainder of the updates that the cabin needs then I would maybe go back again. Oh, and make SURE to bring your own towels!!

Spacious/ peaceful scenery
Very spacious, plenty of places for sleeping and sitting where people did not feel like they were on top of one another. Very relaxing and peaceful with the creek running don’t even notice the busy road close by. Only small complaint could use some new beds as current ones have seen better days and downstairs space definitely could use a revamping as it feels like a completely different area compared to the upstairs. Also could use some sort of signage to direct to cabin locations after pulling onto property not very easy to find especially when coming in after dark. Overall highly recommended and will be staying with you guys again!

Nightmare streams and dreams
We were notified 2 hours before arrive that we would have no cable or internet. That also means no phone coverage. We were here for our daughters wedding. When we finally get back to the cable after dark. There are no lights at the stairs going up to the deck. Then we went to take showers and had no water pressure. Contacted emergency line and was advised that they would send out the on call guy to fix the problem. Waited up till 1 am, nobody showed up. Sent everybody off to have showers at friends and family for the wedding. Went looking to find out why we had no water pressure. Found that the cleaning staff had left the water hose behind the house on full blast. Shut the hose off and we had water pressure back. The cable has way to much furniture in the cabin, used to hide the unlevel floors. We had no lights on the back deck so we couldn't use the hot tub at night. The stairs going up to the second floor was narrow, steep and no hand rail. You can tell this cabin was cobbled together from old cabins.. I took plenty of pictures and videos. Will not stay here again. Did contact booking company and received a partial refund.
