The host provided coffee which I used and several other food items which I did not use. It was perfect for me as I only wanted a place to stay at night. The host was very accommodating as I lost the key (later found) to the apartment and helped me get in late at night.
The Best Place I have stayed in my Five years of Traveling to Oregon! Property is Beautiful Peaceful
Views and the whole atmosphere is a true reflection of nature and Oregon ! The host is more than helpful if you need anything . It’s close enough to everything! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Oregon! I got some much needed relaxation at this place ! Lovely stay will be back again
This was a really nice studio right on the water for a reasonable price. Great for an individual or a couple looking for a quiet neighborhood in Lake Oswego.
This is a great apartment in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. It has a well equipped kitchen for meal preparation as needed. The host is very communicative and helpful. We highly recommend the Blue Heron.
Absolutely beautiful property that's sure to provide endless relaxation, and is tended to by the nicest hosts one can imagine. It's difficult to articulate just how incredible, peaceful and quiet the area is. I got some of the best sleep I've had in years here. Ammenities provided were perfect for my stay. Looking forward to hopefully returning sometime soon!
This place felt like home away from home. Very cozy and comfortable. Beautiful view, wonderful amenities. Serene porch to enjoy lake views. I slept like. Baby. Perfect getaway in a lovely neighborhood. Super easy to reach owners if needed. Will definitely visit again.
We came to the area to visit our home church. We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay between church services. We found this to be exactly what we were hoping for. We loved the little studio in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The owners were very friendly but never intrusive. We enjoyed sitting by the lake watching boats passing by. We had a very relaxing 5 night stay.
If having a view is important to you, look no further. Sipping coffee on my private balcony overlooking Lake Oswego was the highlight of my Oregon adventure. The owners Mack and Cathleen were very rapidly responisive to my inquiries yet allowed me the privacy crave,
The Walkers were great hosts, laid back, and were friendly to chat with. The apartment is cozy and clean and provides a nice view of Lake Oswego. There are two paddle boards we took out daily to explore the amazing lake and canals. The LO downtown area is a nice place to walk around and eat some good food. Its an absolutely gorgeous lake and renting this small apartment would be worth twice the price!

Rustic. Attractive area. Friendly host. Well stocked except for coffee. Window ac blows directly across from head of bed. Be sure to ask how to get hot water in the shower.
This is a great little alternative to a hotel room! It is a little dated, but it has everything you need for a short or long term stay. The location is beautiful literally right on the shores of Lake Oswego. The small kitchen is well equipped for casual meals. The queen sized bed is comfortable. The heated Saltillo tile floor is very nice. The bathroom is certainly workable, although the shower is on the small side. We stayed here a week and for the price it was a fabulous alternative. The owner was gracious and communicated well. We recommend this property.
This property is in a great location and has nice lake views. However the property itself is quite run down. It was also not properly cleaned. It was very dusty with dead bugs in the window sills and the dishes were not clean, among other things. With some maintenance and thorough cleaning this would be a much better place to stay.

I think I need to explain the knotty pine walls in our apartment. I rescued the knotty pine from a house in North Portland. I brought it home and restored it and used it to cover the walls in this apartment because it was these kind of walls we had in our beach house on Balboa Island
back in the fifties and it brings back fabulous memories. If that makes people feel like it's dated or needs a cleaning I'm sorry. This is the way it is. It's cozy, it's on the water and everything is clean. Please read the previous review where they said everything was comfortable and clean but a little bit dated hence the knotty pine issue. Both the kitchen and bathroom were updated 4 years ago. Yes the shower fits in the eaves and isn't normal but it has been updated. I don't know what dishes could possibly have been dirty AND I was on site so if there were any problems I would have appreciated a call that I could have fixed it for you. I have stayed in some interesting places across the world that wouldn't have been for everyone but I loved what each experience brought to me.
Wonderful, relaxing studio unit right next to Lake Oswego!
Charming & slightly rustic studio unit. Was ideal for my stay. I knew from reading the Vrbo reviews online that there was a coffee maker (actually there were two) but there might not be coffee itself produced provided, so I brought some ground coffee with me, which worked out very well. Kathleen & Mac (and their dog, Riley) are nice & welcoming. I initially had an issue with internet connectivity, but Mac & then later, Kathleen, did their best to assist. We got it figured out before the day ended. I appreciated their attentive service! Thanks to them for everything!

Not for us!
This could be a charming place but it misses the mark. It’s just “very tired “.
Pros: nice lake view
Pretty flowers by entrance
Quiet neighborhood
Bed was comfortable (pillows should be replaced)
Not expensive
Cons: the nice view is ruined by the clutter (lots of really old outdoor furniture piled up, etc) on the lower deck
Not necessarily dirty but not clean enough
Few amenities: it’s been a long time since I stayed at a vacation rental that didn’t include at least a starter coffee supply; unwrapped bar of soap in the bathroom; WiFi was spotty at best (we ended up using our hot spot); kitchen consists of hot plate, microwave, mini fridge and dishwasher; no trash bags
Communication with owner was very limited (had to call for access information), no written or online information about trash, checkout, etc.
No comfortable seating for 2 people in the unit, one seat cushion for the deck furniture—may be more suited for one person
Shower does not fully drain, we finally figured out that perhaps we were supposed to use the squeegee that was provided to reduce the puddle on the shower floor and get the water to go down the drain
Overall, this place is quite subpar compared to the many vacation rentals we have stayed in, and it’s disappointing since it has so much potential. We would not stay here again.

You found enough coffee to spill it on the new white duvet over. We are very clear on what we are. There are pump soaps and shampoo in the shower and vanity. We offer 4 pillows with additional in the closet because we know people like different firmness. The pillow you want replaced might be the soft pillow the next guest would enjoy. This house was built in 1927 and has some old-house quirks. We are clear about it. The furniture stacked on our patio is for summer and is actually quite new. It does not in anyway block or hinder the view of the lake. We have so many guests that love to stay here and obviously we are not your taste. I suggest you rent one of the more upgraded places on the lake for more than $100.
Nice property. The owners were able to get us in last minute during the busy summer month of July, which was awesome. The property is right on the lake with a nice view, in a beautiful LO neighborhood, and a short drive to lots of fun places/activities.
Cathleen was very kind and communicative, she got me in the same day I messaged her to see if the property was available, due to having to leave my last rental because it was not safe. So I am very grateful to Cathleen I was able to easily move to her property, I felt much safer and it was a very nice quiet stay.
The property is very beautiful, I spent a few hours in the morning on the deck it was very nice and calming. The bed was comfortable and the linens smelled fresh and clean. I enjoyed my stay.

Nice View - great location
Located in a great neighborhood. Nice view of Lake Oswego.
Studio and property is very old. Poor lighting, almost unusable shower, ceiling fan only worked occasionally, no hair dryer as listed. A couple bar stools would be nice as there was no way to eat except stand. Was not clear where the washer/dryer were as listed. In the winter this could be a cold place as half of the weather stripping under door is missing and one of the kitchen windows will not shut. Nice TV. Bathroom a real issue. Lovely bench outside to sit on. Parking is also an issue. A tight squeeze and often no place at all to to park. Sweet setting but has some issues.

I'm so sorry that you were disappointed in your stay. We are a 5 star property. The house is over a 100 years and we advertise it as such. I just checked to make sure there is a hair dryer and it is there . You have air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The floors are heated for a cozy stay in the winter. There is plenty of parking on the street. Obviously we are not what you expected or your cup of tea. The only time I heard from you was when you asked if you could use the dock and to tell me how beautiful it was here and to tell me my plant wasn't doing well. If you needed or couldn't find something we could have remedied it with a quick text. The last couple that stayed here brought me an orchid they had such a great time.
