First class facilities in an idyllic location

We had a perfect week in Gardefort, the pool is amazing and the whole property was extremely comfortable. Very well equipped and set in the most peaceful spot.

Wonderful Relaxing Holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here. The house is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Pool and Outdoor seating is wonderful, we loved sitting outside in the evenings and enjoying the peace and quiet. We could not fault it and look forward to returning in the future. Sebastien was a great host and really made us feel welcome.

A beautiful house and location, surrounded by nothing but farmland meaning the children could be as noisy as they liked in the amazing swimming pool. Excellent facilities, superfast broadband, exceptional hosts. Thank you for ensuring we had a perfect stay.

Perfect house. Everything available. BBQ outside, nice outdoor stay. All activities as for example village seeing and wine tasting nearby. House is perfect, equipped. Swimming pool warmed to 28°C , Top! We will come back to this real good vacation location. 1 tip, a fridge next to the pool would be even nicer! Even nicer!!!

Find the inner peace…

The owners of this property have created a comfortable and charming place for perfect country-side relaxation! Classic, rustic and charming on the outside - well functioning inside. AC, fast internet inside, TV’s everywhere, but also Old-School games to gatter the family around the table. All the kitchen utensils needed, fridge with icecubes, oven + micro. Nice pool area, shaded terrasse, hamock and views to the surroundfields - and some worn down neighbouring houses. A great and recommendable stay with very friendly Stephanie and Sebastien!

Fabulous Family Holiday at L'Hostal

Excellent property operated by wonderful hosts! Where to start with the compliments - spotlessly clean throughout inside, very well laid out modern kitchen with great appliances & a fabulous garden with wonderful heated pool outside. Facilities exactly as described in the advert, and the 3 good sized bedrooms perfect for our family party. Only niggle being the sofa a little too hard for comfort. Bathroom lovely and walk in shower superb. Pool and garden very well kept and the bikes to cycle were an unexpected pleasure. Location excellent with real peace and quiet to relax but with Sancerre within 15 minutes . The kestrel chicks fledging in the garage a fantastic unexpected surprise. Really loved our time at L'Hostal and definitely return one day to say Thank You to Stephanie & Sebastien. A wonderful family holiday in a fabulous property, Merci Bien!

Tranquility and relaxation guaranteed!

The house is in a perfect location - situated in a quiet hamlet on a narrow road with hardly any passing traffic except for local farm vehicles. It has a large, private garden with a rustic undercover area for relaxing and barbecuing. The pool is wonderful and not overlooked at all; perfect for keeping cool. Inside, the house has both a charming rustic, and contemporary vibe with thick outer walls, shuttered windows, a walk-in rain shower in the downstairs bathroom and velux windows in the upstairs bedrooms and landing. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved the on-demand ice maker on the freezer! Despite the solitude of the location of the house, it is 15 minutes drive from the charming town of Sancerre with its restaurants, vineyards and supermarket. The nearby villages are also very inviting; very pretty, relaxing and so quiet! The area is an expanse of yellow fields, green vineyards, rolling countryside with trees, canals and quietude. A perfect location off the beaten track but close enough to facilities, picturesque villages and towns with historic buildings and culture. Stephanie and Sebastien were lovely hosts (they put up with our poor understanding of the French language!), and we were made to feel very welcome. Even their dog, Tomy was special and we enjoyed meeting him! There is so much to explore in the area with the promise of a wonderful house and pool at the end of each day’s adventure… we must return!

Rustig verblijf met zalig zwembad

Wij hadden een goed verblijf met ons gezin en hond, deze kon vrij rondlopen omdat alles omheind is. Het is er zeer rustig en zalig genieten met het zwembad. Enkel weinig te doen in de directe omgeving, je hebt zeker een auto nodig om uitstapjes te doen. De gastheren zijn super vriendelijk!

Rustig verblijf met hond

Het huis was prima voor onze noden. Fijn dat er airco was, zodat we toch goed sliepen ondanks de hitte overdag. De tuin is helemaal omheind. Ideaal voor onze hond. Fijn zwembad. Weinig mogelijkheden qua uitstapjes in de directe omgeving, maar wel lekker rustig. Fijne wandelingen gedaan in de buurt.

Aangenaam verblijf in een oase van rust

Twee weken vakantie gevierd in juli/augustus 2022. Stéphanie en Sébastien gaven ons een warm welkom en stonden direct klaar als we vragen hadden. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, oa. airco op de slaapkamers boven, en ook het zwembad beviel uitstekend (zout water, dus geen chloorlucht). Een aanrader als je van rust, mooie wijnen (Sancerre, Pouilly Fume etc) en ook wat minder drukke steden houdt (Bourges, Nevers).

Vacances réussies avec les vignes, piscine et la nature

Magnifique propriété, Stéphanie et Sébastien les propriétaires sont très à l ' écoute, souriant sans être dérangeant, toujours disponible pour répondre aux questions. La maison est juste parfaite, confortable, avec tout le nécessaire. De plus endroit calme, reposant,parfait pour se ressourcer, déconnecter et se retrouver en famille. Merci.
