Magical
Gorgeous Aqua-Blue ocean front state. The Lanikai Ocean is gentle lake-like and kid friendly with ultra soft white powdery sand. Get on a kayak and go over the reef and you get bigger and more fun waves for the teenagers or more adventurous members of the family. The hosts are super helpful and responsive. Overall amazing!

Sublime!
What a way to celebrate my 60th birthday (or as I like to call it-my diamond jubilee)! This area of Oahu is so special and Philip's house is just a perfect place to enjoy Lani Kai. The view to the Mokuluas is stunning-I probably took 500 pictures of that view! We loved the access to the ocean and the incredible privacy of the house. We barely left the entire month. The house is beautiful and has every thing you need to feel at home. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, en suite bathrooms in all three bedrooms plus a powder room on the main level. Plus we had access to the garage which made it nice to not have to get in a blistering hot car when we reluctantly dragged ourselves away from our little paradise. We were grateful to have A/C in the bedrooms on hotter nights. Joey was great at communicating prior to my arrival and very responsive when I had a question! Philip had to run over a few times for some issues and was super responsive when we did need help. We loved meeting both of you and hearing the history of your property Philip! What a small world that my Aunt grew up just two doors away! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. I loved every minute of my stay!

Amazing Hawaiian home on the ocean!
We had an amazing time, this home is very unique. Incredible view and access to the ocean and nearby islands. This is actually a home that is lived in and well maintained, not just a VRBO rental. Great high quality furniture and well-stocked kitchen with high quality cookware. Joey-Ann was a fantastic host communicating from start to finish and Philip the owner jumped in when we had a couple minor issues towards the beginning of our stay to address our needs. The house also has a great story and history and we appreciated learning about that as well. Overall great place in a great location. There are steps going down into the ocean and a beach within walking distance. The town nearby has everything you need for groceries and supplies and plenty of restaurants as well. If you can avoid high traffic times, Honolulu is easy to get to as well for higher end restaurants and big city amenities.

One of the happiest months of our lives
One almost hates to praise the places we love to stay at because we want to have them available the next time we want to go! But, honestly, I can not overstate how wonderful it was to live in this house in this very special part of Oahu. If I were able to relocate to Hawaii this is exactly where I would want to be. This is a died-and-gone-to-heaven kind of place — the house, the view and the ocean right at hand, the neighborhood not only with its beauty but also with its community feel, the resources of Kailua, and Honolulu an easy 35 minute drive away on the beautiful Pali Highway. We will be back!

Our family had this land (aina) since the late 1950's. We will greet you with Aloha, give advise/suggestions on things to do, but also afford you the ultimate privacy.

Why they chose this property

Located close, but far enough away from the crowded area of Lanikai Beach. Our block is the best location in the neighborhood, honest. Away from the tourist and parking issues this part of Lanikai is old school, with local families whom lived here for generations.

What makes this property unique

Considered one of the most direct views to the famous Mokulua islands, which also makes it quicker to canoe or kayak to see its beauty. The tranquil blue water in front is unique in that there is no reef close to shore, just fine sand. Many other houses along the shore have shallow reef in front that makes it hard to swim.
