This is a great, centrally located condo. We enjoyed the beach equipment & the pool! We appreciated the host's recommendations for restaurants & things to do. We walked to the Maui Ocean Center & Ma'alea Harbor shops. It was an easy drive to all spots on the island. We enjoyed the sunset view and even saw the sea turtles from the balcony! Our only regret was that we had to leave. Thanks for a great first trip to Maui!

Great waterfront condo

We loved our stay at this condo. The owner has done a great job of providing everything you would ever need in a beautiful condo along with a great waterfront view. The owner was great at answering a few questions we had in a very quick fashion. We would highly recommend this unit and would love to stay here again.

Great spot to enjoy your trip on the island.

Enjoyed our stay here. Everything was supplied for us. Carey is a great host, quick to respond to our questions and gave great suggestions for foods and activities on the island. The view from the lanai is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

Very nice clean condo. View was So Awesome. We did here the ocean waves. So relaxing. Had all you need for cooking. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom sink is just Beautiful. The pool and the walks were such a pleasure. Thank you.

Lovely!

We really enjoyed staying at Carey's condo. The views were to die for. We slept with the screen door open every night, and the sound of the ocean was so soothing to fall asleep to. It was awesome being able to see turtles surfing the waves from the condo balcony, too! We stayed at the Days Inn our last night in Maui and we desperately missed the condo. It's just so nice and secluded, not touristy at all. It felt like a real vacation! We already want to plan our next trip back. :)

Don’t look any further…

If you’re on the fence about where to stay, just stop. We’ve been to Maui several times and always stay on the Kaanapali coast, thought that was the place to be, not any more. Being at this property puts you in the center of all things Maui! No more 2 hours to get here, or there, because of traffic or distance. Read the rest of the reviews, we agree with everything everyone else has said and give Carey and this location our 11 out of 10 rating!

Best bang for the buck

As nice as it looks in the photos, the pictures don't do it justice. It was IMMACULATELY/ showroom clean. My wife and I looked at a LOT of places before deciding on this one and not only were we not one bit dissatisfied with anything, this place exceeded our expectations. For the price, we thought maybe there'd be SOMETHING that made us go " so that's why it seemed too good to be true " ... but nope.... sea turtles came in every day too! I also wanted to add, how kind, courteous and helpful the owner and staff were. Just a great Maui experience all the way around. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Excellent home base in Maui

The condo is just as pictured! Sitting on the balcony/lanai you can watch the sea turtles in the water. The breeze blows through so you don't need to use the air conditioner and you can hear the waves crashing as you sleep. The decor is beach themed in lovely serene colors. The condo was well equipped with everything we needed including paper products, laundry and dish detergents. Location is walking distance to the Maalaea Harbor, so you can walk your dinner cruise or some restaurants and shopping. The area is not crowded. It was an easy drive to anywhere on the island...15 to 20 minutes to the airport, Costco, Walmart, Target, and many many restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return sometime.

Nice stay

I would come again if I can. Such a nice view and wind blow in the evening. Really nicely decorated too and a lot of kitchen tools for cooking. The bar chair was not the best for my toddler but that is okay. And the salt they had was whole pink salt so I had to crush it for use haha. Just small minors but overall such a nice place. I was super impressed and glad we stayed there. The walking place around the area was really amazing too

Gorgeous viewe

The condo was located in a quiet area that is easy to navigate any part of the island from. The bed & living room furniture were very comfy. This was probably one of the best stocked rentals have stayed at. The views are gorgeous. The owner was very responsive when had questions. Highly recommend staying here.

Ocean views, great location and host!

My wife and I recently stayed at Carey’s place for our babymoon. Pictures are as is and ocean the sunrise/sunsets are incredible. Carey went above and beyond as a host, gave us great suggestions for dining (we went to a number of them) and activities and kept in constant check in during the Lahaina, Kihei and Upcountry fires. He was especially empathetic and flexible with all of the flights being cancelled. We would definitely stay again as it’s central to airport, Kihei, Wailea and Lahaina.

Oceanfront with the Turtles!

My husband and I loved our stay at the apartment. You could not be any closer to the ocean without being in it! We saw turtles in the water from our balcony each day. It was a beautiful setting with anything you may need during your stay. The owner was very responsive and answered my questions extremely quickly. One thing to note that I have not dealt with before in a rental.......you will have to wash all towels and sheets before your departure. Keep this in mind as you will need to account for the time before you can leave. Other than that, it was a great stay in a very quiet area.

Absolutely beautiful!

The condo was just as pictured/described. It was amazing! Great location as it was central to everything. Carey was easy to work with, provided good check-in directions and touched base with us during our stay to ensure we arrived safely and didn’t need anything. I would definitely rent again!

Amazing rental

Everything was perfect! Carey was responsive to all of our inquiries, gave us some great ideas of things to do here, and the rental was even better than advertised! It was clean, beautiful views of the ocean, and a gorgeous sunrise every morning. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone considering it. Incredible Stay

The location of this unit was unparalleled. View of Haleakala, the ocean being right there and being in the middle of the island so everything was at most a 30 minute drive away. Host was responsive and unit had all needed amenities.

Great Condo and Excellent View!

We really enjoyed this condo. It has a really nice view of the ocean and Haleakala from the patio and it's central location on Maui made it easy to access all the sites. We wouldn't change anything. There's not much nearby besides other condos so it's a bit quiet and you have to drive to get to any restaurants or stores. That was a positive for us as it made it very relaxing.

Beautiful!

Aloha! Thank you Carey for allowing us to spend our wedding anniversary at your condo! We had a wonderful time, enjoying the lanai, watching the turtles, the view... it is amazingly beautiful! Carey is very attentive and caring person, we called him on the phone and he immediately responded. He emailed us recommendations for places to go visit and dine and gave us his recommendations for the best ones. Most condos have a queen or double beds, Carey's condo has a king bed, so comfortable that I wanted to pack it in my luggage and bring it with me :) The condo has everything you need to cook a good meal; we didn't cook there other than coffee and tea and maybe a fruit salad and a bruschetta. We went out everyday for lunch and dinner. The kitchen is completed with beautiful dishes and decorations, it is well stocked with everything you'll need and versatile. The condo is located in a very quiet place, we wanted to spend our time in a peaceful place and this one was perfect for our stay. We were asked to do the laundry before our departure, but we didn't want to spend our last two days of vacation doing laundry. So instead, as soon as we arrived from the airport, we went to Costco, bought a set of new king size sheets and some towels to use in the condo and other one to take to the beach, and we used these instead of the ones from the condo. As we arrived to the apartment, we carefully removed all the bedding, folded and put it away in the closet, we didn't use any towels, or any other clothing item that would be needed to be washed. This helped us by not stressing us on doing laundry at the end of our stay and it was very relieving. We packed our dirty bedding and towels and brought them home, but not having to do laundry while our vacation was enormously helpful! We wish, we didn't have to do this during our vacation. We did sweep the floors and the lanai and did wash the couple of dishes we used while there. We did our best to leave the condo as clean as we found it and respect the property and everything it contains. It was a wonderful experience! All and all, we definitely recommend Carey's condo and if we get the opportunity again to come visit Maui we will reserve again if it is available. Thank you Carey! Mahalo!

Wonderful condo with everything you need!

We loved our stay at Carey’s condo. She communicated with me from beginning to end. I had questions during the booking process as well as after we arrived, and her responses were speedy and helpful. She was able to accommodate an earlier check-in which was helpful. The condo is nicely decorated and has everything you need. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking as well as all the little things like chip bag clips, plastic containers, two types of coffee makers, plastic wrap/bags, etc. The king-size bed in the bedroom was super comfortable. We preferred the single recliners in the living room rather than the leather sofa. We did not use the AC at all (stay was in late July/early Aug). We kept the sliding glass door open and turned on the ceiling fan in the living room and tower fan in the bedroom and let the trade winds cool down the unit. There are also window shades in the living room that can be lowered to block on the sun and keep the unit cooler, if needed. The bathroom is nicely appointed. The shower has a nice spray that can be rotated between overhead rain shower, direct body spray, wand spray or downward spray for washing your feet. The shower is a little bit small to move around. There was one boogie board, two Tommy Bahama chairs, beach umbrella, two sets of snorkel gear and pool noodles (which bought and took to the beach for hanging out beyond the waves). There is also a soft-sided cooler and ice packets in the freezer for packing lunch to take to the beach. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the turtles foraging for food and the activity in the bay. The lanai does not face west so we could not watch the sunsets. We used the lounge chairs on the grass and the pool. We did not use the complex’s BBQ’s but saw that they were maintained/cleaned constantly. The complex is very quiet and kept very clean. Parking was convenient and the complex provides shopping carts for transporting items to/from the units and elevators. The complex is by the marina and there’s not much offered in this area. But the drive to Kihei or Kahului is less than 15 minutes and the drive to Lahaina is around 30 minutes (more with traffic). All in all, the condo was lovely and very comfortable and had everything we needed. One thing to consider is that this area of Maui is very windy. We got relief by driving to Wailea and Kaanapali. It may have been the time of year though.

We are from Canada, and Maui is our second home away from home. We love how laid back the island is, the tranquility, the people, the many beaches, amazing food and various eco climates.

Why they chose this property

Maalaea is nestled at the base of the West Maui mountains and separates it from the island's central valley. It is central and easy access to all locations on the island from Paia to Kihei and Wailea to Kaanapali and Napili.

Our condo is directly on Maalaea Bay, and faces Haleakala, the morning sunrises are spectacular, lots of sea life with the turtles bobbing in the waves, and during humpback season whales use the bay for teaching new born calves.

The neighborhood is very quaint, safe and is located next to Maalaea harbor and the aquarium where guests can find snorkeling, scuba diving, whale watching, fishing charters, restaurants, and Starbucks.
