Soul Surfing II-Property includes a private beach area located on the bay with a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico from the front porch area. Located in the town of Dauphin Island also known as the Sunset Capital of Alabama. Gorgeous split floor plan with beautiful views of the water from the living/dining/and kitchen areas. Sleeps 13 comfortably. 5 large bedrooms and 3 full baths. Fully equipped with many extras including all kitchen appliances, linens, towels, Keurig, and outdoor grill. Bedrooms 2 and 3 include two king sized beds and have private entrance and exits through French doors that open to the spacious back porch. The bedrooms and back porch area have some of the best views of the spectacular sunsets on Dauphin Island. Bedroom 1 includes another king sized bed with a gulf view. Bedroom 4 contains two sets of twin sized bunk beds which are perfect for the kids. Bedroom 5 includes a full and twin sized bunk bed. All bedrooms and living area have Smart TV's. An interactive Nex Playground system is provided for additional family fun. WiFi is included. Home has highchair and playpen for smaller children. Please be advised of the following information prior to placing a Reservation: Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 23. Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay. Maximum Occupancy numbers include children and cannot be exceeded at any time. All of our homes are Non-Smoking and Pet Friendly with a paid pet fee. Please note: A starter pack of essentials are provided. This includes: one small bottle of dish detergent, two dishwasher pods, a small bottle of washing machine detergent, one 4-pack of toilet paper, a few garbage bags, and small toiletries to get you started. Please pack salt, pepper, and other spices. The housekeepers remove opened containers after each visit to stay in compliance with our safety guidelines.

Our family (children and grandchildren) just spent a week in this wonderful home! It was very clean, had everything we needed, and communication with the host was excellent. Definitely bring a few extra towels if you have a large group, ghost crab on the bay side, have a cinnamon roll at The Lighthouse Bakery, ice cream and pizza at The Island Rainbow, and seafood fromSkinners. It was laid back and so enjoyable to disconnect as a family! We will definitely be back!

The house itself was nice but it wasn’t very clean and the pictures are misleading. There isn’t just nice sand to the beach it is all grown up with grass.

We regret that you were not satisfied with the grass leading out to the beach area. The grass reinforces the sand around the house and beach area to prevent erosion on Dauphin Island as a whole. As far as housekeeping concerns, we did relay the very minor concerns you had during your stay with our housekeepers. Finally we hope that your received the shorts that you left during your stay and that we gladly mailed back to you free of charge.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and the location was perfect. The bay access was so convenient and the kids all really loved playing in the bay. It was also so nice to walk right across the road and be at the ocean. The kids and the adults loved playing PacMan and all the rooms were well decorated and everything was clean. It would have been nice to have more towels and the water coming out of the fridge was extremely slow. Maybe the filter needs changing? Just minor things that didn't keep us from having a great time. We loved our vacation and hope to come back to Dauphin Island again soon.

This was our favorite vacation in a long time! The house was well stocked and I really appreciate that kids were considered, plenty of plastic dishes, high chair, games. The house is close to west end public beach which was a lot of fun. Check in/out very easy and not nearly as fussy as some other vrbos we’ve been to lately. The freezer didn’t keep things firmly frozen but was cold enough.

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home! The location was fantastic and made for a great getaway. There was a lot to love about the property, and we were excited to settle in and enjoy everything it had to offer.Unfortunately, we did run into several issues during our stay. When we arrived, there was several things broken and a note on the refrigerator explaining that it could take up to 12 hours to cool. Unfortunately, even after staying for five days, the refrigerator never got cold enough to use properly, so we ended up having to rely on coolers for our food and drinks.The light underneath the house also wasn’t working, which made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor area in the evenings. We were really looking forward to spending time outside at night, so that was disappointing. The games and puzzles that were offered where in quite a bit of disarray, so we decided to leave those alone rather than try to sort through them.I will say that the owner was responsive and good about communicating with us when we reached out, which we appreciated. Overall, we loved the location and could see the potential for a really great vacation experience. With a few repairs and some attention to the amenities, this could be an excellent place to stay!

The games you mentioned were likely left behind from previous guests. We also appreciate you notifying us about the lights downstairs on the last night of your stay. Unfortunately our electrician was unable to come to the house to resolve the issue at such short notice. We will personally look into your concerns about the refrigerator. The note on the refrigerator is provided to let guests know that overpacking the refrigerator with nonessentials as soon as you arrive will delay cooling. This is the standard way that refrigerators work.

This is our 3rd stay at the house and it is amazing every time. We love the view and the ability to just walk off the back deck to the beach. As long as this place is available we will continue to stay here.

This is our second stay (3rd trip to the island). The house is great. House is well appointed. Has great location to west beach. Love that end of the island. Tons of space inside the house. Love lot and house position relative to the neighbors. Really appreciate the owners opening their house to us and our two dogs!Opportunities for improvement:- beach towels- more towel bars in bathrooms- master bath as walk-in vs tub/shower- grab bar at each shower’s entry- the grill functions but it’s not in good condition and there wasn’t a grill brush- if you have dogs, and bring their kennels… it’s easier to get them up into the house via the back stairs (wider and no switchback)- dining table chairs best suited for young butts - host/mgmt responded quickly to questions/concerns

A lovely home in a beautiful location! Exactly as advertised, plenty of space inside, and 2 great porches outside. The 5 grandchildren had space for board games and also enjoyed the arcade games. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. All the appliances worked well. Everyone raved about how it was a perfect place for our multi family vacation!

Worth every penny!

My family of 7 and our dog stayed in this beautiful house, and from the moment we walked in, we loved this home. It is not only beautiful but very comfortable and accomodating. It had everything we needed although we did have to buy paper products for our 6 day stay. We spent lots of time on the private beach and on the back deck. I would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again!

Spring break getaway

We enjoyed the location of this house and its proximity to both the bay and the ocean. When the wind kicked up on one side, the other was great! We comfortably slept 9 family members of various ages and made many of our meals at the house. Recommended for future travelers: bring your own beach towels and some hand towels as well as a throw blanket for cozying up!

Such a great vacation!

This group of ten adults and 2 kids (5 & 1.5 years) had such a wonderful time. This home's location is perfect to view both the sound and the gulf. The home was spacious and comfortable. It was even better than the pictures! The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. We hope to come back again! HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!
