This review is shortened due to word limits; the full review is on their Google Reviews. Upon checking in using the self-service machine, I couldn't find my reservation number. The owner spoke to us in what we felt was a hostile and condescending manner, insisting that he had already sent it. He then pointed to our "hotel confirmation" and claimed that it was our reservation number. After I was unexpectedly charged a double "pay at property" fee. When I asked him about it, these were his responses: "If you want to complain, you can go to the tourist center where they manage city taxes." "You can just pay now and ask Expedia for a refund later." "You don't have to stay here if you don't want to." "The Euro is stronger, that's why." (This was after I showed him my digital receipt with the correct amount and the currency conversion from CAD to Euros. Even after seeing the evidence, he refused to investigate why I was double-charged.) "It's already weird that you didn't get a reservation number, it's not my problem." (As if it couldn't have simply been a system error. I don't understand why I, as the guest, was blamed for something outside my control.) Another staff member told me they were about to have a meeting, so none of them could help me and that I should pay first and request a refund afterward. The billing error was ultimately identified by me, not by the staff. The owner later said, "We don't like Expedia," and "It doesn't show us the age of the guest." I sincerely cann
