wonderful accommodation in a perfect setting with comfortable beds and a convenient location. Perfect for our overnight stop from the south of France back to the UK. Wished we could have stayed longer
We wanted to stay in an older type residence while spending time sightseeing and at the nearby zoo. Super cool place with everything you need for a quiet country stay. The host Marie was wonderful and welcoming. We didn’t speak French and she didn’t speak English but we made it work just fine. If you want a place to get away from the hurry and bustle I would 10/10 recommend.
This is a lovely cottage. A respite from the hustle of the tourist trail.

Great for our needs
One night stay. Everyone was very friendly upon arrival. A few animals on site kept the kids entertained. Laundry and cleaning fee not included. Good overall experience.

Nice location but needs some host care
Excellent location. Stairs would be difficult for senior citizens and dangerous for children under 5. Would like to have had a shower upstairs. We stayed four nights and there was no hot water upon arrival. There were visible spider webs and spiders. The downstairs was cold but the upstairs was warm. We came in late February during a rainy week and the cold was bone-chilling downstairs. At the last week before arrival a charge of 8 euros was levied by the host for sheets and towels. The residence is historical and the inside is appointed nicely.

I'm sorry you didn't understand or read on the website that linens were an option, at €8/person (it's a gîte, not a guest room). Despite my explanations, you left without paying, so I had to trigger an additional payment on Abritel, which you didn't like. I think the 3-star rating is due to this because all the guests are very satisfied, and other American guests like you (there were 7 of them), who arrived just after you, were very satisfied; they gave it a 5-star rating.
It's a shame, but in the future, I advise you to read the description carefully and, if in doubt, don't hesitate to ask for an explanation; it's better than leaving without paying.
