Frejus and Saint Raphael are u between Nice. Cannes in the east and St. Maxime, Grimaud u. St. Tropez to the west.
It benefits from a unique micro climate. Less wind than further west (Mistral) but not as humid and oppressively as further east. Also the rainfall is not as high as in Cannes and Nice. Frejus and St. Raphael, with their communities the largest and most beautiful beaches on the Cote d'Azur. In addition to the long sandy beaches and beautiful coves, whose beaches are framed by picturesque cliffs.
With almost 47,000 inhabitants Fréjus, although long a city, but in many places does not lose the character of the village. Especially out of season is the French maritime charm noticeable. For the summer season, the maritime village mutated into a tourist attraction. The proximity to Cannes (37km) or St. Tropez (34km) certainly plays a role.

Schönes Ferienhaus, tolle Lage
Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen in der Provence.
Das erste was uns sofort und immer wieder aufgefallen ist, ist die wirklich tolle Lage. Das Haus befindet sich unweit von der Promenade am Meer und liegt dennoch in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Wir sind mehrmals sogar zu Fuß zum Strand oder zu den abendlichen Märkten gegangen, da der Verkehr in der Stadt schon mal sehr stark sein kann. Zurück am Haus waren wir manchmal dann schon fast erleichtert nicht mehr so viel Trouble um uns herum zu haben.
Die Anlage ist schön gepflegt und bietet ein paar Ecken zum Lesen.
Es gibt einen Fernseher und Internet. Beides haben wir jedoch nicht genutzt.
Die Küche ist ordentlich und ausreichend ausgestattet.
Die Schlafzimmer sind geräumig und glücklicherweise sind die Betten eher deutscher Standard.
Die Bäder und Toiletten sind gepflegt und boten keinen Anlass zur Kritik, was bei unserer Erfahrung leider nicht immer der Fall war.
Auch der Kontakt zum Vermieter sowie die An- und Abreise waren nett und problemlos.
Zwei Kritikpunkte gab es dann doch.
Die Treppe zum Obergeschoss ist etwas steil und das Holzgeländer dazu ist etwas wackelig.
Zudem ist die Einfahrt recht eng und mit Kies ausgelegt.
Unser Fazit fällt insgesamt gut aus. Wir würden die tolle Gegend und das Ferienhaus durchaus weiterempfehlen.
