Welcome to Appalachee Ocean View! Set between the ocean and a pond beach. this gorgeous cottage has beautiful bay views, ocean access, and a fresh-water beach that's right across the street.

AOV is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts! Enjoy swimming and kayaking on the small community lake (that's much warmer than Maine ocean waters). Two recreational lake kayaks are included free of charge. Explore Linekin Bay by kayak by having ocean kayaks delivered to our community dock. Access trail system that is accessed right down the street.

When it's time to relax inside, the spacious cottage has a comfy, open living space with two sitting areas, soaring ceilings, and knotty pine walls. Each bedroom has new mattresses and its own newly renovated en-suite bathroom. Enjoy the comfort of our high-end California Design Den sheets and duvets.

You will love this peaceful little community that is surrounded by nature and feels like miles away from it all. Yet it is only a few miles from downtown Boothbay Harbor and the numerous restaurants, shops, and activities. There is an apartment above the garage that is not being used. You will have exclusive use of the entire property. Please note that this cottge is in Boothbay Harbor and not Bayville as is listed on VRBO.

Perfect spot in Boothbay

This is our second time staying at Appalachee Ocean View. The cabin was just how we remembered it, maybe better. View is lovely and the common spaces were spacious and well maintained. It was spotless upon our arrival. Kitchen is large, extremely well equipped and great for cooking. Beds are super comfy! Linens were of a very good quality. Love it's location for peaceful walking and yet close to town and food shopping. We will certainly come again.

Perfect getaway

Beautiful property with great view of the bay, and a large pond on the other side that my kids and I were able to kayak (equipment provided on site). We had a super chill vacation and are considering coming back to the same place next year!

We totally enjoyed our stay at Ocean View cottage Area was perfect for walking. Cottage was pristine clean. Kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed our time in Boothbay. It was beautiful, quiet and picturesque. Just like a picture postcard. Great seafood, cute shops, lovely sunsets. You get it all. House was perfect. Just the right size for two couples. We will be back.

Great family vacation week!

Applachee Ocean View exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect for us with 2 young children, it was amazing to cross the street and spend time at the pond and beach area each day before heading off to different adventures around Boothbay. The house was very clean, top quality linens, perfectly appointed for every need with all the extras to make our stay really enjoyable and communication with Pam was excellent. We would definitely recommend this location to others, we found it ideal for our family with young kids and a dog.

Peaceful retreat

Despite the rainy weather, we very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It's just as described in the listing, beautiful ocean views from the back and easy access to the lake from front. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. An easy drive to downtown shopping and restaurants. The house is very well stocked and very clean. The beds and linens were very comfortable. We hope to come back!

Well-appointed and nicely situated

My wife and I stayed at this property for a week on vacation in the Boothbay Harbor area. It is situated in a private, quiet community in woods with an ocean view on one side and access to a lake and its beach on the other. We arrived to a nice gift bag from the manager and a clean, well-appointed property. It had everything we needed to cook, relax and enjoy a summer week in Maine. We used the deck with ocean view almost every day. The property is only a five-minute drive from the downtown area of Boothbay Harbor which has great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to book it again.

Nice place

The house was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. Blankets, pillows, pots and pans, dishes, seasonings and oils, etc. were all in plentiful supply. There were several choices of areas to sit and watch TV or play games or eat. The sofa was pretty sprung, the duvet and chairs were only marginally comfortable, but that's not unusual in rental houses. The only negative (and this seems to be common in the industry) is that the listing said Pet Friendly, but they don't allow cats under any circumstances. I even offered to pay a lot extra and leave a huge security deposit because I trust our cat, but no exception was made. Overall we enjoyed the house and the area very much.

Ocean View Cottage

Ocean View Cottage is quiet & clean! Well equipped kitchen. Bedding, towels & linens were very comfortable. There are window ac units in each bedroom, and the ceiling fan in the living room area, all of which worked well to cool the rooms. The view of the ocean/bay was limited somewhat by the roof of the house below the cottage. Location is very close to town. The neighborhood is in a heavily wooded area & it's not easy to find the cottage after dark. Our only criticism regards the sink in one of the bathrooms. It has separate cold & hot faucets. The end of each faucet is flush with the edge of the sink bowl, which made it difficult to get our hands under the faucet to catch water, which was a minor annoyance and would not prevent us from renting this cottage again.

This cottage offers so much. There are great ocean views and its right across the street from a beach on a lake where you can swim and kayak. There is also a community dock on the bay for ocean kayaking or swimming. Right down the street is access to a Boothbay Region Landtrust trail that ties into the Indian Trail and goes along the coastline through several communities. And... its only 2 miles to downtown Boothbay Harbor
