Great location for what Douglas and Saugatauk has to offer!
The home is absolutely lovely and well-stocked. We had ample kitchen supplies for cooking at home. The fire was such a good addition. Pros: - Great walk ability to Douglas downtown and Saugatauk. The Dunes was very close. -Easy access to the bus that comes to pick folks up around town. -Comfortable bedding and living spaces. -Swift communication from property management. We experienced a sink blockage in the kitchen from the group that stayed before us and they fixed it day of. -Fire pit was so nice. The neighborhood is so lovely and secure. Cons: -Check in was a little late and check out was earlier than most -There were a lot of gnats from the real succulents that were in the kitchen. Overall would highly recommend staying here and would like to again!

Great for families
The house was perfect for our small family to get away to relax. The house is old but has been updated, plus the age of the home gives it some small town charm. Would recommend for families or small groups.

Location was great but still needs work
We were in Douglas for a family reunion. Other families rented other houses/condos in the area. This was close to the downtown area and within walking distance to the other families. House was comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately there is no dresser in any of the bedrooms so you have to live out of your suitcase. Some issues which were addressed in other reviews have still not been addressed even though the host responded they would notify local management to make adjustments: Some of the closet doors do not open all of the way. The bathroom and bedroom door latches do not close easily and require a lot of effort to get them to close. This makes a lot of noise especially during the night. The sliding glass door does not lock properly. The door on the downstairs bathroom doesn't lock properly and the barn door doesn't completely cover the opening and doesn't lock at all. Additional issue is the downstairs toilet is not secured to the floor properly because it moves when you sit down/get up. The description of the house says they have lots of board games. Unfortunately these are hidden in the bench by the sliding door and we didn't find them until we were moving out. We had put some of our food boxes on the bench and never looked in there. There are also some games in the coat rack in the living room. Maybe a small sign by the bench indicating games in there would be helpful for future renters.

Great stay at a great house
Four adults stayed for a long weekend and had a great time. It's a two block walk to nice restaurants, a coffee shop, nice stores. It's two blocks to the water and an easy mile walk to Saugutuck. I love to cook so kitchens are important to me and this one was great- top quality appliances, even things like the best vegetable peeler made it really fun to cook. We enjoyed the fire pit, comfy furniture and beds. Sure, there are some quirks to the house (the floors are a little tilted upstairs, there is a small step down into two bedrooms) but I think we all know that old houses have quirks and this one is charming. We would definitely stay again and recommend you try it out.

Needs some attention
The size worked well for our needs & the house was clean however at least 2 of the bedroom doors did not close (no catch in the door frame), no locks on bathroom doors & the lock on the sliding door at the side is almost coming off & would not lock. Other things are nicely updated such as appliances & keyless entry.
