The Red Door Lakeside sits high upon the ridge overlooking Barren River Lake in Scottsville, KY.   A 2400sf farmhouse-style home, the Red Door Lakeside has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths,  and sleeps 8 comfortably.  All furnishings have been purchased or handcrafted specifically for the comfort of our guests.
INSIDE
Guests enjoy Mellanni luxury sheets as well as luxury pillows, mattresses and fluffy towels.  A spacious farmhouse kitchen stocked with kitchenware and bakeware is perfect for creating  family meals to be enjoyed at the handcrafted black walnut dining table for 8. The great room has a 65" TV and is part of the main level open floor plan designed for gathering together. The family game room includes a 55" TV, board games, and a farm-themed children's' play nook with books and toys.  Every bedroom has a TV.  The top floor offers king and queen bedrooms and individual bathrooms. The third bedroom, on the lower level, is a "bunk room" with 2 queen beds and its own bathroom. The half-bath is on the main level.
OUTSIDE
A screened porch,  open air deck, and Sleeping Porch are lakeside. The screened porch offers traditional outside furniture.  The open deck includes a firetable for romantic nights and sharing memories.  The Sleeping porch includes a handcrafted bedswing as well as other comfy furniture.  The farmhouse front porch rockers and swing provide a farm setting  and a fun change of pace. A Weber gas grill and fire table round out the amenities. Enjoy Corn Hole and Ladder Ball under the stars! For all our Corvette owning guests, the paved driveway provides smooth simple parking for 4. For all our boat owners...there is ample boat parking and Baileys Point boat ramp is only 1.8 miles from the property.
WORKING FROM THE RED DOOR LAKESIDE
The unique open floor plan enables quiet space for conference calls and studying while enjoying beautiful water views. A hand crafted  white oak desk provides a perfect work space with a lake view.  High speed fiber internet, USB charging station, basic office supplies, and a Cuisinart Duo Coffee Center are onsite as well.

Guests will enjoy a safe, fun, and extremely clean environment with enhanced sanitizing protocols including extra attention to high touch areas, touch free hand sanitizing stations, individual toiletries, and linens and towels laundered at higher temperatures.

Wonderful Family Trip

The house is absolutely beautiful, and Tammy was a fantastic host! The Christmas decor was a very nice touch, and the kids, parents, and grandparents in my group were all very comfortable during our stay. Everything was extremely clean. My kids especially enjoyed all of the games, books, and toys provided. We would not hesitate to book again, and highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

The Red Door is the perfect place to host a large gathering! The house is designed for entertaining with a large, open kitchen and multiple gathering places both indoor and outdoor. Why they chose this property

The location is part of the Sunset Ridge development on the main channel of Barren River Lake. Nestled in the rural countryside of Kentucky, as the seasons change so do the surroundings. Each season offers a unique feel and the sunsets never disappoint!!

What makes this property unique

I love that the floor plan not only allows for all 8 guests to eat together, watch a movie together, play games together...but at the same time has lots of space for branching out to read a book on the front porch, take a nap in the screened Sleeping Porch, let kids play on one level and adults escape somewhere else, etc!!
