Quiet, comfortable Nantucket beach house - Maddequecham Beach
Nicely furnished with central air conditioning, modern and antique furniture and beautiful artwork.A chef's kitchen with Viking range and wood floor opens to living /dining room with seating for twelve at cherry dining table. A south facing sundeck with grill is off the kitchen/dining area.
A covered deck is off the living room looking out at a nicely landscaped and very private yard . There is an outdoor shower on a small deck off the mudroom /laundry room which has a full size washer and dryer and separate sink.
Master bedroom has king bed and private west facing deck with sunset and distant but beautiful ocean views. Master bath has large soaking tub, separate large shower and Vermont slate floor.
The second bedroom on top floor with queen bed shares full bath with a small bedroom with a single bed also on the second floor. A large bedroom with a wide planked pine floor is located above the garage. It is a spacious sunny room with a king bed, one single bed and a TV with sitting area. It is connected to the main house through the Mexican tiled laundry room and works well for a couple or as kids room.
Maduequecham : Our property in Maddequecham is a beautiful get away within walking distance (about fifteen minutes by path or dirt road) or a short drive to one of Nantucket's most beautiful south shore beaches. There is great surfing and fishing and swimming at the beach. It is one of the least traveled beaches on Nantucket even during the heart of the summer. It is a good idea to have a car but the bike path and the shuttle to town runs on the main road a mile from the sunsets from the upper west deck are fantastic!

My name is Marshall Thompson and I designed and built the house myself in 1996 after buying the property in 1992. I was in the restaurant business for many years on Nantucket. I worked at the Club Car and then owned and operated the Even Keel Cafe, the Jetties Beach Bar and Restaurant and the Surfside Beach Shack and Taco Truck. In 2019 I closed my last restaurant and switched gears. I had rented the house and lived in the harbor on my 36’ Grand Banks Trawler for twenty years and used Nantucket Harbor Launch - the public launch service and water taxi business for Nantucket Harbor to come and go from the boat. In 2020 I bought the Harbor Launch business. I still get to live on Nantucket and during the summer I get to be out on the water every day!

i love the area of Madequecham. i call it living out in the country because my neighborhood is surrounded by conservation land. it is off the beaten path and quiet and close to my favorite beach on nantucket-Madequecham Beach. it is still just a ten minute drive into town however.
What makes this property unique
