About this property

Enjoy a quiet retreat 25 minutes from the red rock vortexes of Sedona. Walk to two creeks and an Indian ruin right from your doorstep! Enjoy the two miniature horses, organic gardens or relax in the hammock under the stars. The space is a private beautiful oasis and is one half of the house on 2.5 acres overlooking the national forest. It has a private entrance, healing room with a massage table, large kitchen, 1.5 bathrooms, a large tub, a primary bedroom, laundry room, dining room, living room, a deck, patio and multiple outdoor areas to enjoy. All natural cleaning products and organic flannel sheets are used throughout the house and property. No chemical products are allowed in this space. Natural body and cleaning products are provided for you.

Vacation rental

We had a wonderful time.The place was beautiful,very clean and very very relaxing.We enjoyed setting outside watching the ponies and Mango the pig.We would definitely come back.

I think if Robin and I lived close together, we would be good friends. She’s responsive, interesting, thoughtful, and has a heart for her animals. I echo many of the sentiments of other guests. The photos online are accurate, with the exception of an upgrade to a full-size refrigerator, and the regular sized horse was not on the property at the time of my visit. But the minis! And the potbelly pig! Take advantage of the extra experiences she offers. My friend and I especially enjoyed the pony walk! I had two issues during my stay. The quarters are a partitioned section of Robin’s home. The thermostat is on her side. Robin provides space heaters and extra blankets because at night she turns the heat way down. I explained I had a back injury that got me up a lot at night, and sometimes I need a bath at 2 am. She said she could raise it to 64°. We found some middle ground by her raising the temperature and me using a space heater in the bathroom and kitchen as well as the bedroom. I think a mini split unit would be a good addition to the property. It’s ductless and doesn’t use up a window, and would allow guests to control their comfort better. My other issue was that, due to the layout/space, there was no sofa or recliner. So there really was no comfortable place to sit—either hardback dining table style chairs or propped up on the bed. With my injury, that was difficult. A unique place with a lot of charm, a lot to offer, just a few bits to improve on. Thank you!

Incredible place to rejuvenate

My daughter and I were so happy we chose to stay here for a four day visit to Sedona/Grand Canyon. Robin is a gracious host and her ranch added an extra layer to our experience! We would definitely stay here again if we get the opportunity.

A hidden gem for a much needed reset!

Robin has put her heart, soul, and attention into every detail of her rental property. She was very accomodating and helpful if we needed anything. We had such a wonderful, relaxing experience. We always travel with REI camping mats bc of my bad back and the beds are usually sub-par in rentals. Robin has the MOST amazing comfortable beds. The sheets are organic, top-notch as well. Also, the down comforters were posh. We loved going to bed bc it felt like a cozy, warm hug. The place was immaculate.and well-stocked. It was such a relief NOT to have toxic chemicals used for cleaning. It was very quiet and private. We loved sitting out on the deck, listening to the coyote's howl, and watching the sunset in the evening. Just an open sky with the mountains in the background. The stars were amazing.. She has her lovely, 4 legged, furry friends who are always happy to say hello. This is the perfect spot to get away and recharge. This is NOT the place for loud people who want to party, watch toxic news and be around all the insanity that downtown Sedona will bring you. If you want/like to be near all the restaurants, shopping, traffic and people, this is not for you. This is a quiet paradise. It is an easy drive (25 min) to Sedona or the Village of Oak Creek. Cottonwood is only 15 min away. There are plenty of hikes in the area or just drive to Sedona and bike/hike there. The wifi and cell service is excellent. My husband worked from home here. We THANK YOU Robin for such an incredible experience and we cannot wait to come back!

Star gazing and open space

Lovely space, calming atmosphere Perfect front porch for star gazing at night over an open field Clean, very comfortable bed, kitchen Perfect size for 1 person. Robin communicated well and has some lovely horses on her property!

Mainstream toxic products, such as, perfume, shampoos, lotions and laundry detergents may not be used at Spirit of the Mustang. Bring your natural products or use the ones I provide. Essential oils are welcomed. If you want to know if your products are natural just read the ingredient list. If you see long words you don't understand, the word fragrance, or and numbers, it is not natural. Your health will be renewed by using natural products!

The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. It's amazing being across the street from the national forest. You can see a sky full of stars at night.

What makes this property unique

What is wonderful about the property is that it's so close to Sedona, and yet you can come home to peace and quite and avoid the traffic and tourists of Sedona. Being across the street from the national forest and two rivers is sublime, and of course, the miniature horses are as cute and fun as could be! It's also special to be able to grow our own food, sit in the garden and eat a fresh meal.
