Super séjour dans une maison très agréable. Nous avons apprécié le billard et le parc boisé de chêne. Parfait pour se reposer, proche des châteaux, du zoo de Beauval. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir

Grande maison de campagne

Environnement très calme dans cette grande maison rustique. Bon accueil des propriétaires qui sont très accueillants même avec des toutous. La terrasse donnant sur le grand terrain boisé est très sympa pour les soirées d'été. Nous avons passé un excellent week-end.

Shocking experience

It gives me great pain to give this property a poor review, mostly because I and my mother received electric shocks from the plug sockets, and partly because aside from that, the property was incredibly basic and dirty. Basic information for future travellers: there's no WiFi; the dining/lounge furniture is very old; the beds are uncomfortable; the only place to store clothes is a freestanding plastic rail; half of the shower is missing; and the whole place needs to be properly cleaned (e.g. the shower is very mouldy and everywhere else is covered in thick dust and cobwebs). I had to chase the host via Vrbo for check-in details as my message dkrect to them was ignored. My main problem with the stay was plug sockets which gave me quite a severe electric shock the evening we checked in. The response from the host was to not use those two sockets and it would be fixed after we left. As Vrbo said the exposed wiring would allow us to be moved, we refrained from using the electrical sockets for the next 36 hours. My mother then tried to use a different socket as advised by the host (2 days after the first one shocked me), and was both given an electric shock and her electronic device is now broken. Unrelated to this specific property, I'm still awaiting my email from Vrbo containing my options in order to change property, every time I phoned I was told I had to wait for an email. As it's only possible to review a property after the booking has finished, I can't say I'd recommend their customer service. In short, I'd think twice before using Vrbo or booking this specific property.
