Tough up 2 flights of stairs for old guy. Appreciate being secure but trying to remember 3 different codes wasn’t easy. Washer/ dryer that all residents use out in hallway not convenient

The property is in a great part of the city where there are many food options. It gets loud from the people outside on the street but it's inevitable since it is an older building. It's also better to take uber to old quebec in the winter because the sidewalks get super slippery. The place itself was very clean and has an industrial vibe. Our only issue was the bathroom due to the door getting stuck at times and the shower head was kind of falling apart. Bathroom just needs a little fix and it would have been an excellent stay. The host gave us all the details we needed and easily responds to inquiries.

The entryway and stairs cause one to feel a sense of dread, "what on earth did I book???". But, entering the room itself is pleasant. It has basics of what is needed and feels clean and safe. Bathroom feels dated. The outside area is a long time habitation of low socio-economic status people, with some evidently experiencing drug abuse. It may feel unsafe for children, but I felt safe enough as an adult. Takes 10 minutes to walk to the Old City, up a very steep hill, or lots of stairs. Fine if you are in shape but a challenge if you are not, or if pushing a stroller. I would stay here again if I am travelling with adults only, but not likely with children.
