Karen was an exceptional host: flexible, professional, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Pilot House if you visit Eleuthera. Some scheduling irregularities arose and Karen was proactive and resolved in to our liking. Also the gardens are immaculate and beautiful
I am originally from The Bahamas and spent every Easter as a child in Rock Sound with my grandparents. My wife and I decided to spend Easter this year with my family.
The property is full of history, having been part of the Rock Sound Club started by Arthur Vining Davis. Karen has done an absolutely remarkable job renovating this part of the property - everything from the flooring to the landscaping, interior design...it was all so clean and looked new. AC in the rooms, fridge, good water pressure...nothing was overlooked. We stayed mostly with other family members during the day, but Karen reached out frequently to check in on us and make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
As someone who's familiar with Rock Sound and the surrounding area, I can attest that there are very few places quite like this that are also affordably priced and full of history. And the beach is only a short drive away.
I would recommend this spot to anyone interested in a peaceful, quiet, relaxing stay in Rock Sound.
