This family home on Lake Manteno was built in 1949 and totally remodeled in 2017. It has 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 queens, 2 twin beds, and 1 bathroom. The laundry room has washer & dryer. There is a spacious front porch and an attached garage. The neighborhood is quiet and the huge backyard has a patio with lawn furniture. There is a lakeside fire pit where memories are made. Fishing is fantastic and owners furnish a paddle boat. Rental is one block from Manteno Sportsman Club Beach.

We enjoyed our time fishing and playing games at the outside table. The area was very nice and we didn't have a lot of neighbors until the weekend. We had a fire every night and appreciated the free firewood! My husband left his shirt behind, the hosts reach out and sent it to us cleaned and folded. It was a nice experience. 10/10 would recomend.

Once again this property didn't disappoint! It was a great few days full of relaxation with the family. Every year we visit Manteno and always know where we want to stay. The best part was the fresh homemade banana bread!!!

Relaxing getaway

We were so comfortable at this property. We found a well stocked kitchen for making our own breakfast and light dinner. Our first fire was laid in the pit and there was lots of wood for our second fire. We had everything we needed to relax, fish and explore the area. Great trip - wonderful property.

Cozy lake house!

We had a wonderful time at this cozy lake house. The home had everything we needed and was comfortable for 4 adults for a week’s stay. Annette was a wonderful host, very communicative and had a great binder with information and events around Manteno. There is a sportsman’s club at the end of the street, which the house has a membership card too that grants access to the beach - which was a great addition. I would highly recommend for a relaxing time away! Thank you for having us!

Quick vacation

We rented this place for a week while our house was getting a new floor. Anette and Rondy were amazing. They not only gave us an amazing place to stay but came by and explained the nearby activities for family esp kids. Rondy assembled the fireplace fit for my daughter to make s’mores. They cleaned the paddle boat and gave us custom life jackets including for our 2 yr old. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Highly recommend this place for a get away vacation.

So Close, Yet a World Away

CC’s Lakehouse was just what we were looking for—a place pretty close to home, but far enough away to relax, experience the quiet of a small lake, fish for fun while also enjoying the comforts of home. The cottage is modern, charming and well kept—and within walking distance of the grocery store, restaurants and a couple of great parks. The Lakehouse is a “we would go back” place in a part of Illinois that has more to offer than we realized. Thanks for the hospitality!

Absolute Pleasure

Our stay was short, but a pleasure! The home was clean, spacious, and stunning. The owners were so amazing with communication and keeping us informed. They also went above and beyond to make our late night arrival a seamless and welcoming. The town is one of the most darling towns I have ever seen. If you want to go out for breakfast or lunch, Yannis diner is incredible comfort food. I wanted to eat every meal there even though we originally intended on eating at the rental. If I ever need to come to the area again, I will stay here if it is available. Thank you so much for your hospitality and incredible stay.

We had such a a wonderful stay. The house was incredibly clean. It was beautifully decorated and had very comfortable furniture. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. Their welcome book has tons of great information and they even baked us banana bread. The lake view was beautiful and peaceful. There is a train track nearby, but the trains pass by quickly and other than that it was quiet and peaceful. We loved this rental and plan to rent it again when we return to visit our daughter at college.

CCs Lakehouse was everything we were hoping for and so much more! Check-in couldn't have been easier. We had a welcome gift of the best banana bread either myself or my husband ever had, thank you so much Annette. The Home was beautifully appointed with every necessity we needed. Rondy went out of his way to make sure we had anything we could need during our weekend and was a wealth of local knowledge. Beautiful home on lake front

The home was beautiful and the owners thought of everything needed for a visit. Our granddaughters loved going to the beach during the day and fishing in the morning and evening right outside the house, we caught fish and we made s’mores on the campfire, we didn’t want to leave this beautiful place.

I loved it…. From the time I opened the door, it felt like home. Very clean, comfortable beds, kitchen utensils pots, pans etc. everything you might need. Nice quiet neighborhood. Hope to come back and spend more time on the lake

Lovely annual getaway

We always love staying at this property. We appreciate the lake, the small town, the easy drives to hikes, fun restaurants and shopping and the banana bread provided by the owners! It is clean, comfortable (really the living room is the most comfortable we've encountered in our many years of VRBO rentals), and always fun.

Great Home in a dark time.

We had to come to town for a funeral and it was so great to come back to a place that felt like a home. The thought and love that was put into house was felt. After emotional days it was the perfect escape we all needed.

Father's Day on the Lake

We were both born and raised here in Manteno. Rondy has been a volunteer firefighter and a lab manager at Bunge Oils. Annette was a cake decorator before delivering mail out of the Manteno Post Office. We raised our family, coaching kids sports in the summer, fishing, swimming, ice skating, and cross country skiing. Community service has always been a big part of our lives. We are active at our church, are active members of the Manteno Sportsman's Club, and helped manage the Manteno Golf Club.
We are glad to share the history of Manteno with our guests from all over the world. We feel like we are "ambassadors" of Manteno, which we call "the small town with a BIG future."

CC's Lakehouse is a family home, built by my parents in 1949.

What makes this property unique

Our rentals are on a quiet street on Lake Manteno. Since we grew up here, we know the area and the people well. It is a great place to live and a wonderful place to visit!
