About this property

Large house in the gorges of the Aveyron, 4 bedrooms, sleeps 8

Come discover the Aveyron Gorges and the bastides of Quercy!

We invite you to stay at our family home for an idyllic, relaxing holiday that also offers cultural and sporting activities.
The villa is located a 5-minute walk from the village centre, where you’ll find essential shops (bakery, butcher shop, mini-market, etc.), a few restaurants, and the weekly Friday market.

The house has two sheltered terraces: the upper terrace offers superb views of the countryside, and the second terrace overlooks the garden and the large pool (12x6). It’s the ideal retreat for relaxation. Many villages feature traditional markets, exceptional restaurants, and bars. This beautiful region is famous for hiking, biking, and canoeing. It can be explored year-round.

Accommodation

The house was originally a farmhouse, nestled on the outskirts of the village. Built in the 1800s, the house features high ceilings, huge windows, and a bright, airy atmosphere. It consists of four spacious bedrooms (sleeps 8). There is a bathroom (with a shower) on the ground floor and a large shower room on the second floor. The kitchen is well-equipped (stove, full-size refrigerator) and opens onto a covered terrace with a large dining table and patio furniture.

The Garden
You can enjoy the large garden and its oak trees, as well as relax by the pool.

Culture and Heritage
The region boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. Montricoux, a bastide in Quercy, marks the entrance to the Aveyron Gorges and is just a few kilometres from villages designated as some of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France,” such as Bruniquel, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Cordes-sur-Ciel, and Puigcelsi.

Montauban, a city designated as a “City of Art and History,” is a 20-minute drive away, while Toulouse and Albi are about an hour away.

Finally, if you haven’t already, you can explore the vineyards of Gaillac and Cahors.

Sports and Recreation
The Aveyron Gorges are famous for their landscapes, which are perfect for outdoor activities. You can explore the many hiking trails available, go canoeing and paddleboarding on the Aveyron River, or enjoy horseback riding and golf. Extreme sports enthusiasts won’t be left out and can enjoy rock climbing on the cliffs or paragliding.

Finally, we’ll provide you with towels and bed linens. The tourist tax is also included.
