It was a great alternative to the local hotels. Great location as it relates to Campus and within walking distance to where most of our off- campus alumni events were taking place.
And I absolutely LOVED the vintage feel of the place!
The house is really nice large rooms throughout accommodated us as well as guest. The outside area needs cleaning. Seemed too risky to sit out among the yard waste. Overall great stay and i would definately come back. Pinkie
Over all this location and set up worked well for us. The outside needs work for curb appeal - trimming, leaves blown off sidewalks/back porch. Master bedroom missing pull down shades-afternoon sun was hot! Mattresses are very firm. Retro vibe which was fun. Lots of space for gathering. Very clean.
We had a very nice stay. A lot of the original woodwork, fixtures and charm are still apart of the house. The bathrooms felt very art deco, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean, well stocked and comfortable.
We had a wonderful time in this home!! The futon sizes were a bit small to truly sleep the number indicated. The home was clean and welcoming. It was the perfect place to stay to explore around the Bradford area.
Older home with typical quirks of a home this age. Well stocked kitchen. Mattresses were fair- not old, just cheap. Be ready to climb to get into the house. House on a Hill is literal.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, the home does have steps up to the front door as pictured.
Spacious home with everything we needed to relax and enjoy the area. 20 minute walk to the downtown restaurants and watering holes. Spent the days at Majestic ATV park, only 20 minutes away. Awesome wifi speed. Able to steam our favorite channels and run other devices. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Not what we expected
We unfortunately arrived the day after a snow storm; the property was not managed, making accessing the property very difficult. Take note the house sits up on a hill.
There is only one tv, with no local channels.
Shortly after departure, we were accused of damaging the floor, and stealing dishes.

Guest did not follow house rules, wore salt covered shoes inside home and caused significant flooring damage and stained carpeting. The home is on a hill, a stated in the title and description. We have one tv, also as described. It’s unfortunate that the guest was disappointed.

Deposit *BEWARE*
Had a pizza box make a hot mark on the table. Got a local wood expert to restore it. Still kept our deposit. Then was blamed for carpet that has stains. The wood expert told me that the carpet has always been like that. Bc he thought he did it years ago. Renter beware. I was told they will go for your deposit. They were correct.
The photos are a little confusing, but this place is enormous!
Large kitchen, dining room, tiny half bath, and two large sitting rooms downstairs.
Master has a queen and attached bathroom. Kids bedroom with bunk beds is small but adequate. The other two bedrooms with king beds are HUGE, and one has it’s own big loft with a futon.
Add that to 2 futons downstairs and you could easily sleep 15 people!
Keep in mind the fridge is apartment sized. This is an OLD home: most of the doors don’t lock or close the entire way, and the plumbing is delicate.
We chose this place because it’s about halfway between Philadelphia and Chicago. Our two families had a great time with plenty of space, and large enclosed parks nearby to let the kids/dogs run around.
Florina was EXTREMELY responsive and very easy to communicate with.

A short term stay
This VRBO had its ups and downs. The home was decorated beautifully, with a lot of attention to detail. However, this also meant that there was a lot of clutter throughout the house that was easily accessible by small children. We had to be extra careful to keep an eye on our little ones to ensure they didn't get into anything they shouldn't.
The house was old and had settled over time, which resulted in many doors not closing all the way. We had to use a bit of force to close some doors, which was a minor inconvenience but not a deal breaker.
The kitchen was a highlight of the rental property. It was large and had a wide variety of dishes and cookware, which made it easy for us to cook meals during our stay. However, we did notice mouse droppings in the kitchen, on the counters, and stove. This was a bit unsettling, and we had to be extra careful to clean everything thoroughly before using it.
The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well during our stay. We appreciated the extra pillows and blankets that were provided, which made it easy to get cozy at night.
The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, which was a nice change of pace from our busy lives.
Overall, our stay at this rental property had its ups and downs. While the clutter and mouse droppings were a bit of a downside, the comfortable beds and well-stocked kitchen made up for it. We would recommend this house for others looking for a quiet and comfortable stay.
My siblings and I (6 total adults) had a great all around experience in this nicely rehabbed/ renovated house. My only wish was that we could have stayed longer. The host Florina did a great job! Thank you.
The house was nice. The bedrooms were spacious with nice bedding. The bathrooms were nice and very well stocked. We only had two issues. Each night we put all our food away, yet each morning we woke to mouse droppings on the counters and in cupboards. We had to clean it up every morning and rewatch dishes. Second, it said it sleeps 14 and it probably does, but it wasn’t clear that that includes several small futons. We did okay because we didn’t have 14 but kept a thinking it would have been a problem if our other daughter and her family had come.
We stayed here while enjoying ski/ snowboarding weekend at Holiday Valley. Comfortable for 8 people. Not sure it could comfortably fit 14 as suggested but we enjoyed our stay.
Everything was fine with the only exception being a malfunctioning toilet on the second floor. The coffee maker was small given the size of the property and I would strongly suggest a 12 cup brewer.
The house overall is pretty nice. The furniture needs serious attention. The couches and chairs are made for toddlers. Very uncomfortable. There is only1 tv in the house and it doesnt have cable, which is inconvenient. The beds were very comfortable and the home was clean. The kitchen had everything you need. Larger coffee pot would be nice. Overall a nice stay. Would be 5 stars with these improvements.
Nice location only 7 minutes from the Pitt campus. The only things I would suggest are since there is no A/C, to add ceiling fans to the middle bedroom on the second floor and to the living room where the TV is located in place of the pull down lamp which is a head knocker. Owner should also blow all the leaves off the back porch. All in all it worked well for our needs.
