Retreat on 153 acres starting at a river and ending in a canyon, come have fun!
A beautiful, retreat on 153 acres in Spanish Fork Canyon, with endless opportunities to explore and play. We just added a hot tub, fireplace and game consoles to the house and lots of games to our game shed, we have foosball, air hockey, ping pong and pool! Along side the shed is a large field that has been converted to a campground. We are in prime hunting area as well. This home is a great home base for hunters in the fall. This is a gorgeous area, with a canyon on one end and access to wilderness land on the other. You can sled, snowshoe and cross-country ski in the winter, hike and mountain bike in the summer, or just gaze up at the millions of stars that explode across the sky at night. I fell in love with this property for its incredible views, its seclusion, and the opportunity to connect with the outdoors.
We have a large 20x50 insulated shed near the home with Kitchenette and games with a large camping area beside it. It is a great place to gather outside of the heat of summer or cold of winter. Our campground with a large fire pit is next to the shed. The campground can hold multiple tents and there is parking areas sufficient for a few RV's although we do not have hookups for RVs. If you will have more than 20 guests extra fees may apply, please inquire.
Coming soon on the hayfield bordering the bank of the thistle river, we are creating a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm! We’re excited to preserve this virgin area and share it with the community.
As a safety note, we are on a workings farm with equipment and horses that we access to care for. We have thistle creek that runs on the property that is great for fishing and wading but water safety measures should be taken. We also are in the mountains where you can enjoy visits from deer, elk, and wild turkeys but should know that rattle snakes are present in this region as well.

Great accommodation for our family reunion! Amazing views and lots to keep everyone busy. The kitchen was small but very well stocked! We had to wipe off some dust but otherwise very clean. Great camping option with nearby hikes. Plus a big finished barn for large meetings. Our 50 ppl family reunion made great memories and had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much for making it possible!!
We had a lot of fun. Kids played in hot tub and water slide in back yard. Great place to look at the stars. Fun games in the out building, Just wish the pool table was together. Other than that we had a great time.
The setting for this property is fantastic. Plenty of room for our group of 15, and grandkids had a blast exploring the property. We would return to this property without a doubt .
Amazing location and property. The kitchen was small to prepare for a large group, but there was plenty of seating and outdoor space.
Emailed the owner about check in and received a very timely response.
The host, Heather was very good. She answered questions and gave us the information we needed. The house was very nice. The A/C is a little under sized. The upstairs got a little warm, main floor never got to set temperature but was much better than outside. Basement was cool. Heather suggested opening the windows at night and that cooled off the house very nicely. We were doing several activities in the area and it was a very good base for our activities. We would recommend this place.
Beautiful location. Quiet and the stars were amazing! Hot tub was really nice also. Kitchen was small so we had to do some creative timing to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for 35, not all 35 were staying in the house. Could have used some more towels in the bathrooms and for the hot tubs. Also, you really need four wheel drive in the winter. Other than that we had a nice time.

Glad you had a great stay. I wish you would have reached out about the towels we stock the house with 21 but have more in our owner's closet. It is clearly stated in the description that winter time needs 4-wheel drive and the pictures accurately show the size of the kitchen so I hope those two things were not what gave us a 4 star instead of a 5. We try to make sure there are no surprises and that everyone has a wonderful time at our beautiful mountain retreat.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house seems to be newly renovated. The 6 bedrooms were all comfortable and there are nice bathrooms. The house is in a nice secluded area with beautiful views of the mountains. The house is very roomy with 3 levels of living space. The owner was very helpful and answered our questions quickly. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway
We had our son's wedding and needed a place for our family in and out of state. The propery was great. It was absolutely beautiful scenery with alot of room to enjoy the outdoors. The downside of it was that most of the games listed in their add was in non working order and or broken. Many things were outdated. Heather was very helpful and amazing. She let us check in early and super helpful. The home was great as far as roomy for all of our group. Overall i recommend. Just a few downfalls but definitely worth the stay.
This property is fantastic. It provides such an easy opportunity to disconnect from everything and enjoy the fresh air and quiet of nature. We spotted elk, turkeys, lots of birds, and a herd of deer that was about 30 strong a few times. We enjoyed and will definitely return. The owner is amazing, responsive, and easy to communicate with.
This location and size of home worked out perfectly for our family! We loved that it was tucked away from other homes so that we could enjoy our time. We got to lay out late at night under the stars near the firepit.
Having the larger garage to use was so nice for crafts, games, meals and indoor basketball!!!
The beds were comfy and set up was great.
Take bug spray and keep window’s closed during dusk hours.

Before the trip we were informed that the hot tub stopped working but were offered no discount. We drove to Utah from Washington State so we were a long ways from home. When we finally got to the cabin, there was no guest book with instructions on how things worked, etc.. There was no WIFI and we had no cell service. We couldn't find the router so we had to drive 20 minutes into town so we could message the host about the WIFI. She told us that the WIFI was spotty and the router was behind a bed on the second floor. The next day I messaged the host that the three rooms downstairs were extremely cold and we couldn't figure out how to use the fireplace down there. They said it was cold because it was a basement and they didn't know how the heater worked. Keep in mind the basement is supposed to sleep at least 9 people. We paid 1800 for 9 people to stay 3 nights so heat shouldn't have been an issue. Also, the kitchen is EXTREMELY small. There is no way someone could cook for 25 guests (what it is rated to sleep). The living room did not have enough seating for 9 people let alone 25. The interior is all black and white which is weird also. They made it sound like the clubhouse would be great, but it wasn't. There were no nets on the hoops, and some of the Foosball characters had no legs.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m truly sorry that your stay felt frustrating, as that’s never the experience I want for my guests.
I did want to clarify a few items for future travelers. The hot tub issue was unfortunately outside of my control at the time, and I offered a penalty-free cancellation prior to the stay if that was a deal breaker. When the heater issue came up, I also offered to send a technician right away. As noted in the listing, internet service in the mountains is limited, and while I do my best to maintain the game shed, occasional wear or missing items can happen between stays.
I work hard to ensure the listing accurately reflects the space, including the size of the kitchen and the décor, so guests can make an informed decision before booking. That said, I’m genuinely sorry that these aspects didn’t meet your expectations, and I appreciate the feedback as I continue to improve the experience for future guests.
Everything was great except that the garbages were not emptied from the previous renters and we were unable to include any of our garbage in them, plus there were no garbage bags for the kitchen garbage. Other than that...great! Would do another group stay.

I’m so sorry Teresa I did not know that. I wish we would have known we would have come right up and done that. We had new cleaners that day that were supposed to do that.
I'm so glad the rest of your stay was great though!
We had a fun family reunion here at this cute property. Had plenty of bedrooms for our large group. Kitchen was a small but doable. Large yard and large outbuilding that worked out perfectly for our activities. Fun hikes close by in Diamond Fork Canyon. A/C didn't work too well our first night but we left windows open at night and it cooled the house down so subsequent days A/C worked fine. Gets pretty cool at night there. We had a great time. Thanks!
Nicely remodeled and Had plenty of bedroom space.for our family of 16. Our adult kids and 7 grandkids. Kitchen and gathering area is small. Needed deck furniture like a table. The large shed where kids rode scooters around was great. Nice creek down below house. Had power outage last night we were there but was in contact with Heather about it. Was close to Spanish Fork where we went to see fireworks on the 24 th. Also spent morning at Scofield reservoir till thunderstorm hit.
We had a great time at this property. The views were fantastic both night and day! Everything is new and the house looks very nice. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are very clean. The drive up to the house is on a somewhat narrow gravel road up the hill (but maybe that's just because I'm used to living at flat sea level in Florida!). The ruts in the road made it kind of difficult if you don't have a truck or SUV. We loved exploring the property and said hello to the horses every day. Have never seen so many stars at night before! It was perfect for our family, although the kitchen is a little small if you have a larger group. The large yard is great for kids and dogs. Would definitely recommend this property to others!

Thank you Sarah! We had an extreme rain event in lat July and that created some ruts in the road. We are in the process of fixing those ruts. I'm glad you, your family and your dogs enjoyed your stay!
The theme of our retreat was about ranch-style living. We did some cooking, crafting, hiking and singing 'round the campfire. It was a delight!
The refrigerator is rather small if you are planning to bring enough food for 10 or more. But the table is terrific - we got 14 around it comfortably. And there is an additional fridge in the outbuilding.
The bunks are uncomfortable for people over about 40 years old but children can clamber into and out of them easily.
The internet is unreliable which we found to be a bonus - we just put away our phones and computers and talked to each other!
The views, the sunsets and the stars at night made up for any inconveniences.
We spent the weekend at the house for a work wellness retreat, and it was the perfect setting! We had ~15 people and the sleeping situation worked out well with plenty of space. The beds are super comfortable, everything is well stocked. We were there during a snowstorm, and the sledding down the road was epic! Kitchen is a little small as mentioned before, and made for some intimate cooking. Also when Heather says 4WD and good tires, that's accurate. We tried getting up in the snow with several AWD vehicles without snow tires and no luck. The lack of (most) cell service made the shuttling a little difficult, so just plan for that (we had people call when they were entering American Fork canyon and met them in 20 min). But it also made it more of a getaway being a little disconnected (there's good wifi though). Heather is very responsive and helpful as well.
As grandparents we enjoyed this place with our kids and grandkids. The insulated shed was great for the grandkids to play and ride scooters in. The yard was nice for activities. There were plenty of beds for our family. The two upstairs bedrooms did get a little too warm. One had a box fan that was helpful, the other bedroom didn't have one. Also one upstairs bed was uncomfortable and worn out that my daughter and son-in-law used. The kitchen table was big and mostly nice. The finish felt a little sticky. The big window by the kitchen table could have use a blind to block some of the brightness in the morning. We did hear a critter in the wall in one of the downstairs bathrooms. The refrigerator was on the smaller size, but the insulated shed has a bigger refrigerator that we used as well. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and utensils, but no dishcloths and just one dishtowel. The Wi-Fi was definitely much slower than most and didn't have great range. It did hamper some family members when trying to play games. We were able to stream a movie from the TV. We put a blow-up water slide in the backyard for the grandkids and watered the back lawn as asked. We used the nice deck to play karaoke. The hot tub was nice and worked well. We mostly enjoyed our stay and, other than a few minor flaws, enjoyed this place. Heather was always quick to respond to questions and concerns during our stay!
We spent Thanksgiving here and had a wonderful stay. Used the fire pit for s’mores and had a birthday party in the recreation center. The extra fridge in the rec center came in handy for all our leftovers. Heather was great to work with and had the place decorated nicely and answered all our questions immediately. We had 9 adults, 7 children under 12 and pets so it was a houseful, but it all worked great. We saw deer everyday of our stay, that was awesome.
