The Old Schoolhouse of Sainte-Marguerite-Lafigère is located in the Ardèche area of France but on the borders of the Lozère and Gard départements. The building dates from around 1865 and was used as a primary school until 1979. Spacious and quiet, it is built on a rocky promontory which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Chassezac valley. It is easy to see why this place was once called 'Bellevue'.
