Cute Dog-Friendly 4B Escape Short Drive to Beaches

This guest's claimed experience with our home is belied by those of 99.9% of our other guests, all of whom consistently praise our home. This includes the guests who checked out the day prior to this guest's stay (who rated the property 10/10) and the other guests this season who have stayed with us via both VRBO and Airbnb (where we are a "guest favorite" with an average rating of 4.86/50), including comments such as "our stay was excellent," "truly love this house," and "Christine's place was fantastic." This guest and her family stayed with us for 3 nights. During that time they never contacted us with any issue or concern whatsoever with our home. We recognize things can and sometimes do happen. Had this guest alerted us we immediately would have investigated and addressed any genuine issue. Instead, she waited until 2 days after check-out to contact VRBO and requested a refund stating she found a scuff mark on a wall in a high-traffic area in the kitchen and a piece of clear cellophane tape on the living room ceiling that apparently was left there inadvertently when lighting was installed. After being alerted of her complaint it took us 2 minutes to touch up the paint scuff and locate and remove the piece of cellophane tape. Unfortunately, this guest seemed more interested in trying to leverage the threat of a poor review to extract a financial concession.
