Relax in our Coastal Decor Lakehouse. With our open floor plan it’s easy to enjoy all the views of the lake while visiting. Take advantage of our very own Sandy Beach on our lakefront. Soak in all that the lake has to offer outside along with outdoor games, grilling under the picnic pavilion, visiting in the outdoor cantina or curling up to a campfire with the deluxe fire pit. Take up a nice pool game inside, use the open kitchen to enjoy visiting while cooking or set and enjoy a movie by the indoor double sided fireplace. Lots of places to set, visit, relax and enjoy the most awesome sunsets. 🌅

Loved this place!

This is such a cute place. It is beautiful inside and had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the backyard is right on the lake. It was super cold the weekend we stayed so we didn't get to enjoy the lake or the lovely outside space but they had an amazing fireplace that we enjoyed and it came stocked with wood so that was a lifesaver. We will definitely come back when we can enjoy the lake and the outdoors.

Very Nice and Relaxing home

Rented out the Sandy House rental for a vacation getaway to celebrate a birthday and parents 43rd anniversary. It was so nice and relaxing. Enjoyed outdoor activities and also loved playing pool. The whole stay was amazing and we will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for helping us create so many new memories as a family.

Perfect for us!

This ended up being one of the best trips we have taken as a family in recent memory! The house fit the six of us perfectly and the open concept lent itself to a feeling of togetherness even with us cooking, playing pool and playing games in the living area, all at the same time. The location on the lake worked well for us and the outside areas were fun and useful. I wish it still had a refrigerator in the outside bar area and the outdoor speakers were not working quite perfectly but overall, it was perfect for our time here!

That view!!

We so enjoyed our stay! The view was amazing...the house is right on the water! The outdoor space was relaxing, the inside beautifully decorated, and the beds and linens pillowy and comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed and included several different coffees, teas, and other hot drink options. The appliances were all in perfect working order and included all the pots, pans, and utensils you'll need for a couple or large family. As you approach the house, don't let the neighborhood deter you...April's home and the back yard//lake area are an escape from the hustle and bustle of life!

Peaceful Paradise

We spent a relaxing 3 days and enjoyed every minute. The house was spacious, comfortable and relaxing. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked well. April was so easy to work with and stayed in contact if we needed anything. Both covered patios and the covered picnic area were wonderful! This house is right on the water and has plenty of room for family & friends. There is a boat ramp right by the house and we tied our boat up at the doc behind the house. Plenty of swimming and fun to be had right in the backyard. Wonderful host & home. Thank you April!!

Relaxing and quiet vacation at Possum Kingdom Lake

Our family had a good time at the lake house. The house has plenty of room for a good size family. The backyard has plenty room as well and with the lake not as full, it has a good amount of sandy area. Our dog definitely liked it as well. The house has all of the essentials for cooking and cooking outside as well. The location of the house is very quiet and located at the northern part of the lake, it is less busy than the southern part of the lake. The dock overlooking is lake is nice and we did experience some rain as well, which was nice just relaxing on the dock with the rain. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place to stay at the lake, I think you will definitely enjoy your stay.

Beautiful Location at the Lake

Met April on day one very helpful, the property inside was set up beautifully and house is right on the Lake which was amazing. We had a great family time. Only one thing which made it difficult for us that one of the bathroom sink did not work, we were told someone will handle the next day but we’re told since this is a mobile home, the guy could not locate the part. The sink faucet is old fashioned and we could not believe why a faucet was so hard to find. We were there 4 days and 3 night but was not fixed. We were 10adults and it became difficult with just one fully functional bathroom which has two sinks. And had to take turns. We enjoyed the pool table and fishing The owner April is friendly and accommodating Would we go again - definitely. Kids enjoyed

Yes, after I showed your husband how the sink works (to pull on the faucet instead of turning, it’s just a different style faucet.) and then he used it and broke the handle, it was unfortunate for your stay. We were not able to get the right parts to fix during your visit but thankfully we got it fixed the day you left to get it ready for future guests.

The pictures make the property look like you’re right on the water which is why we booked it because of the fishing doc. When we arrived, the water had been low for sometime meaning the online pictures were very old. So low there was a volleyball net installed. That should have been online; not the water. Bird feathers and cotton covered the entire outside making it look like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Inside was meh. I wouldn’t say super cleaned. We actually ended up cancelling because it was not what we expected and was told we’d receive our money back minus one night stay. I did what the owner said and updated my booking so she could refund us but we never received our refund and when I asked about it several weeks after i got no response from the owner. The owner was very nice and responsive up until we cancelled our reservation. 3 months later, no refund.

Overpriced for what you get

Let me say first that April was very helpful and communicative and I appreciate her close contact with me. The neighborhood is not quite a neighborhood that I've ever seen. Its a mix of mostly older trailer homes and abandoned houses, which did not put me at ease. I did not feel safe leaving the house, and we had people walking through our part of the sand numerous times. We brought our dogs and this was not ideal. According to the neighbors, this is one of three properties that the owners own. This helps make sense of some of the problems we encountered on the property because they are not on site daily. The majority of the exterior wood is rotted and is dangerous for bare feet or those without stable footing. They have tried to update aspects of the property, at least cosmetically, and added newer appliances. However, many of these appliances were broken or put haphazardly into place. For example, the fridge's freezer pull bar was broken off, making it difficult to utilize, and the microwave was sitting inside an open cabinet with screws sticking out. When you used it, it moved all over the place. The grill outside was not in working order. I reached out and they had us go pick up a gas container from a convinent store, but it was still not working. April said they could come the next day to look at it, but because we surmized that the problem was likely the gas line being clogged (which I told them), we doubted it would be fixed that day either due to finding the right parts. The grill was one of the main reasons we chose this home, as we brought all of our food to cook out. The oven and stove never seemed to get hot enough, and anything set to over 350 in the oven cause smoke. It took a while for the hot water to work in both bathrooms. The house was loaded with gnats, which I understand being by the water happens, but we would find them in the microwave, which I found concerning. Additionally, the added ac units in every room were tremendously loud and the other half of each window was boarded up with plywood. In the bunk bed bedroom, the plywood was not even adhered to the window, which was extremely worrisome to us and contributed to my parents' sleepless night. I did raise this to April's attention and she said they could come fix it, but at this point we were already over the trip and just wanted to get home. Ultimately we left a day early and drove back home to grill out and celebrate my father in law's birthday properly.

House was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The window units were very loud and were going on and off all the time. Area around the lake was nice, but the surrounding neighborhood was a little sketchy.

Great little lake house with a great view!!

My family was in town for a local baseball tournament and this property was right on the lake AND only 8 miles from the baseball tournament location! We had the whole team and all the families over for a cookout right on the lake… with plenty of room for about 40(adults and Kidos). Would for sure suggest this place to anyone looking for a great little secluded lake house!! The owners are awesome and very helpful as well.. HUGE PLUS!!

PK stay was amazing

This property was spacious, clean and very organized. Every detail has been thought of, and there is so much to do, from indoor to outdoor games, and the lake right in front of you. Perfect spot for watching the sunset. Loved our stay!

The property was clean and exactly what the photos portrayed. The house is directly on the water. It was very quiet and peaceful. The owner reached out to us prior to the check-in time to make sure that we receive all the info that we needed about check in and to let us know that she is available any time. In addition, there were so many extras to add to a great getaway...yard games, fishing poles, grill with smoker/gas/charcoal options), books, movies, record player with records, wifi, swing by water, lots of outdoor seating options, variety of teas, snacks including supplies for s'mores on fire pit, variety of coffee flavorings, board and card games. The owners really went out of their way to not only provide a great house, but also to have lots of extra little perks to make us feel special. We would definitely recommend this home!

Had a great time.

The house was decorated beautifully. It was very cozy. It is an older home, without central heat. There are space heaters in every room. The owner was very quick to address concerns/questions. And even brought extra heaters, since the fireplace was not functional during our visit. There were definitely some older properties that surrounded the home. However, the backyard and the view of the lake was beautiful. The WiFi was a bit slow, but this made it easier to disconnect. All in all we had a fun time at the lake.

Fun at the Lake

Even though our stay was cut short due to weather, we had a good time! April had everything we needed plus some fun extras. The outside area was great...lots of seating areas...great for fishing...beautiful sunsets...very peaceful. The house is older but decorated well. April was quick to respond to any questions we had! Only negative thing we found was the heating and a/c is not central heat and air. Overall a fun time at the lake!
