Great place, loved the views and local moose. Construction across the street started early. There is only 1 window ac, but it did a good job keeping the place cool. Liked the updated appliances and comfortable beds.
Couple of days with Friends/Family for a birthday. Cabin was so cozy and just perfect for the 8 of us. Jared was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating! We will be back!
This was a great place to stay when visiting all the parks nearby. It was a little bit further away from Yellowstone than we thought, but still doable. The house is located on a small lot with lots of other houses around. It was pretty tight for our two families, but we spent most of our time hiking and sightseeing, so it worked out well for sleeping.
We loved the setting of the cabin. The decor was nice and the beds were comfortable. It would be nice if firewood was available for the fire pit. A great stay.
The cabin was beautiful! The attention to detail, from decor to supplies, was perfect! Perfect location to explore parks and shopping. Coming "home" after a busy day of hiking and exploring, being able to fix meal and relax was icing on the cake!!!
This cabin is absolutely beautiful!! Extremely clean and welcoming, feels like home. Jared was available by phone and or message when needed. He even had to pull us out of the snow 🤷🏼♀️ I highly recommend anyone staying here and I hope we make it back again!!!
The cabin was Unreal!!!! Location was the absolute best. Tons of snow and looked like a postcard!
15min from Yesllowsone national park.
Winter wonderland Vacation. We loved it.
Very clean! Quick to respond with questions. We even had 2 moose hang out for about 30 min right outside the window. Great place to stay if you don’t want to stay right in Yellowstone. Very quiet!
This cabin is beautiful and had everything and more that we needed. We had a question, I messaged the owners and they took the time to stop by. The only thing we wanted and needed more of, was time at this beautiful home. We had a total of ten people and we were all very comfortable. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is clean, well-furnished and beautiful! We were welcomed with a snack basket and bottled water. The wood work and custom wood furniture are beautiful and unique. The space is well designed to give privacy in the bedrooms and common space for time together. The beds were very comfortable! Everything was exactly as expected. It is a great property!
This property is exactly as described. Everything is impeccably clean and over the top accommodating. The bathrooms have everything in case you forgot anything and the kitchen has every utensil you need to cook a meal. There were 6 total in our group, my wife, four kids and me ... more than enough room.
We were to arrive on a Tuesday and with an impending storm asked if we could check in Sunday and they were very accommodating with our request. Very appreciative of that. Property was as described
Jared and Monica proved to be quintessential hosts and we could not be more pleased with the rental experience. The home is perfectly located to explore Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and surrounding areas in Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. The hosts have gone beyond the call of duty by ensuring a well-stocked kitchen, premium bedding, washer/dryer and thoughtfully provided extras such as a cooler, which made it convenient to pack meals/snacks for our daily treks into the parks. As well-traveled explorers (stateside and international), we are very pleased to share this home ranks at the top of our extensive list of vacation home rentals. With gratitude, Sharon & Melissa
Everything was nicely stocked and very clean. We were all pretty comfortable. There is a nice size room on the first floor where my husband and I stayed. The upstairs has 2 small bedrooms and then another 2 bedrooms in the area over the living room. According to our friends, the beds in the common area were much more comfortable. They had trouble sleeping in the rooms.
We loved that everything was new and the decor was so nicely thought out. We found everything we needed in the kitchen for breakfast and lunch preparations. The dishwasher and washing machine was a great bonus. I contacted the owner once and her was very responsive answering my question within an hour
A perfectly acceptable option for anyone looking to stay in the Island Park area. I traveled with my parents and three sons, and the accomodation met everyone's needs. I was particularly impressed with the craftsmanship of the custom furniture throughout the property. The pine scented candle, and the bowl of mints were another nice added touch.
The properties in this neighborhood are closer than I would like to see. In addition, the walls of the cabin are a tad thin, which enables you to hear opinions behind closed doors. Perhaps that's an advantage for some. Lastly, the kitchen floor had not been swept when we arrived, and my best guess is that it was a simple oversight.
Overall, this property is an acceptable choice, with enough personal detail to make your stay in Island Park both comfortable and authentic.
Seeing a mother moose w her 1 day old baby was a highlight!

About the host
Hosted by Jared and Cloudy
Grew up in the Yellowstone area logging, fishing, snowmobiling and all things outdoors. Developed a passion for making rustic log furniture and was able to parlay that into a vacation rental business with several cabins in the Yellowstone area.
Why they chose this property
This cabin is the most special one because it is the first one we built. We spent over a year just making the furniture for it. Every person who has ever walked through the door of this little gem has fallen in love with it.
What makes this property unique
The unique benefit of this cabin is that it was built and furnished and nurtured along to completion with a great deal of pride and it shows throughout. If a typical family of 6 to 10 people take a trip to Yellowstone for a week and stay in this cabin there is always at least one member of the group who will say that their favorite part of their trip to Yellowstone was staying in this cabin.
