Beautiful apartment house "Chalet Smaragd". In the district of Gydisdorf, 200 m from the centre, excellent location: right in the centre but still quiet, south facing position. For shared use: natural pond. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer. Linen change weekly. In Winter: please take snow chains. Communal covered parking. Grocery 350 m, supermarket, shopping centre 700 m, restaurant, bar, bicycle rental 200 m, 2 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Firstbahn" 200 m, railway station "Grindelwald Dorf" 850 m, outdoor swimming pool 2.5 km, indoor swimming pool 800 m. Golf course (9 hole) 1.5 km, tennis 1 km, minigolf 350 m, sports centre 800 m, mountain railway 850 m, gondola lift, ski rental, ski bus stop 200 m, cross country ski track 1 km, ice rink, children's playground 800 m. Relaxing time in Grindelwald

Stayed in Chalet Smaragd (West) for 9 nights. The accomodation is clean, comfortable, functional and spacious. This is the second time we have stayed here. If we were coming to Grindelwald again we would certainly consider staying here again.

Was a great place. On the bottom floor. Took just a little bit to figure out how to get into the building. They have a cool elevator for your car, but we didn’t have car. Very close to the bus stop. Very close to town, easy to get to shops, food , etc. heated floor in bathroom was great. Back patio was pleasant.

Une bonne adresse pour visiter la région

Bel appartement, bien équipé, très propre et spacieux, idéal pour un couple. Le plus, c'est la terrasse qui offre un beau panorama malgré la grue en plein milieu. Le moins, les oreillers peu confortables et la télévision qui n'avaient quasiment pas de chaînes françaises. Pour aller au parking souterrain, il faut mettre la voiture dans un ascenseur. Par ailleurs, le pommeau de douche est trop lourd. C'est une région magnifique avec des prix très élevés et la carte d'hôte n'a pas été très utile.

Excellent - would stay here again

Excellent chalet, built and furnished to a high spec. Great view of the mountains from the large terrace, and birds and dragonflies on the pond. Peaceful location, despite being so centrally positioned. It's nextdoor to the Hotel/Apartments Abendrot though, which means their balconies overlook you and/or you could get e.g. noisy families. Cleanliness was good but would benefit from a little more attention to detail. Also instructions for rubbish removal need reviewing - very confusing!

Große schöne Ferienwohnung, viel Platz, gut eingerichtete Küche und alles da was man braucht. Der Blick auf die Berge ist vom darüberliegenden Balkon leicht verdeckt, was jedoch kein wirkliches Manko ist.
