Large home near Lackland base, mins to SeaWorld, easy access to major freeways

Our home is in a community that is only a mile from the Lackland BMT gate. It is so close to the base that back patio overlooks the Lackland Training Annex. It is a large 2900+ sqft 5 bedroom home with 2 1/2 baths that can accommodate up to 14 people. We prepared and furnished this house with the goal of providing a great place for our BMT graduates to relax, reunite and spend quality time with their families. This house is a much better alternative as a home than hotel suites provide.

Welcome to our home! We prepared and furnished this house with the goal of providing an enjoyable place for our Air Force and Space Force Basic Military Training graduates to relax, reunite and spend some quality time with their families. We believe this house will fill in for the shortage in on-base lodging facilities and will provide a better alternative as a home than hotel suites provide. The house is situated in a safe community mostly owned by active duty military, retirees, and those working on-base. Our home has a high speed internet. Roku TV streams is available in the living room, loft, and in each bedroom. We strive to make items you may need available. We have office items, small kitchen appliances, shower chair, and baby items that we can bring out if you have a need for them. Please note that we will not be bringing out these items unless you specifically ask for them prior to your arrival.

The entire house and yard is for exclusive use of your group. The garage, the walk-in closet in the master bedroom, the 2nd floor storage and the air conditioner space will not be accessible to your group. Sufficient parking is available on the driveway and street parking.

The house is situated between the Lackland BMT area and the Lackland Training Annex. The house is conveniently located close to I-410 and I-90. It is also close to restaurants and shopping centers. Distances to popular parks are as follows:
Seaworld - 17 mins, 9.8 miles
Six Flags - 21 mins, 20 miles
Riverwalk - 21 mins, 18 miles

We welcome visiting contractors and workers. We offer discounts for monthly, biweekly and weekly stays. For security, the house is equipped with security alarm. It also has a front door video doorbell. Security cameras are mounted around the perimeter of the house (all of which are pointed away from the house). No camera / recording device is installed inside the house. We strictly enforce the maximum number of guests count (14 including kids) and charge penalties for exceeding the number.

A True Haven

What a blessing it was to be able to get to and from the base in 10 minutes, during traffic!!! Our reason was BMT and we could NOT have had a better place!!! It was very hot, but the house was nice and cool!!! Will definitely stay there again!!! The Crawford’s

Our stay was amazing. Such an important part of our graduation experience. The location was perfect. The home was clean and very comfortable. Gave us a place to relax with our airman and have some great family time. The commication with the owner was second to non, A+++. Perfect choice for our trip!

We were attending our son's BMT graduation at Lackland. This home was the perfect size for our group and was great for relaxing and ordering in while spending time together. The location to the base can't be beat. The owner's were excellent with communication and the entire process was simple start to finish. The home was clean, comfortable, organized and had everything we didn't realize we would need. We would absolutely recommend and stay again in the future.

Better than any hotel

Nice neighborhood. Conveniently located near every store or eatery you may want or need. The inside was CLEAN. It was organized and well decorated. For every age in our party we had items available for entertainment; games, Xbox, air hockey and fuzz ball. Enough room for our party to have their own space. Best of all it was a short drive to see my daughter’s Airman graduation. Not to mention the owners made themselves available for any questions. Thanks for the home away from home experience!!!

Such an Amazing and Exceptional home.

All the comforts of home! It was close enough to many popular sites in the area, especially the base for our Grandson’s graduation from basic training at Lackland AFB. Was so nice to have the family have space to play together and commune together, but close enough to go out and experience San Antonio together within the boundaries that were given the newest Airmen. A true home away from home! Owners were easy to communicate with, very accommodating, and seemed so excited for us to be here for our Grandson. A wonderful experience all around. We look forward to coming back again one day.

I've stayed in countless short term rentals in many states and abroad. THIS RENTAL was the BEST of them all. ☆ SO CLEAN it looked brand new ☆ Beautiful ☆ Comfortable ☆ Safe & quiet neighborhood ☆ Close to shopping & restaurants ☆ Many items provided above and beyond what is expected ☆ Kitchen cabinets & drawers labeled ☆ BBQ grill, outdoor furniture & covered patio ☆ Extras like air hockey, Foosball, XBox & board games, books on San Antonio & AF 🌟 If you are in San Antonio for BMT GRADUATION this is THE RENTAL to be in! Being 4 minutes from a Gate will save you precious time at 5 a.m. and when it's time to return your Airman back to base. You can literally look onto the base from the backyard. It was truly PERFECT. Good option for a large family

My extended family of 13 people (3 generations) wanted to go somewhere warm for Christmas, and picked San Antonio as our destination. Check-in and check-out was very easy, and our communication with the owners was always prompt with responses. This house worked out very well for our needs - enough space to spread out when we needed to. With the location of the house literally by the Lackland AFB, we understand why this appeals to Air Force families, but it is also perfectly suited to those who just want to be tourists in San Antonio in general. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of pots and pans, silverware, etc, and having the air hockey table and foosball table provided a fun diversion for our teenagers. I will say there is no carpeting in the house or anything else that would absorb the noise, and sound of people playing the air hockey especially did sort of reverberate through much of the house, so if someone needed peace and quiet while others played air hockey, there would need to be some negotiations :)All in all, we would be very happy to stay here again if we return to the area!

Our family moved to San Antonio in 2010 after over 20 years of military service. Got a job at Lackland AFB Comm Squadron and worked there for 5 years. Still working in federal service for the DoD at the old Kelly AFB.

While on active duty, our family moved to over 10 houses in different areas of the map, and so, we can finally say that we are done moving. The military life gave us a good understanding of your need of normalcy and having a place you can call "Home" in spite of being in a foreign place. We prepared our homes with this goal in mind and when we interact with our guests.

Our family love San Antonio because of its very friendly people, its perfect size as a city, the attractions and recreations it offers, and the quality of life we get for reasonable cost. And of course, we have the proud Spurs team here with 5 championship rings!

We welcome you and we hope that you will enjoy our home and our beautiful city of San Antonio!

Why they chose this property

The neighbor is so close to Lackland AFB that it almost feels like living in base housing. It is a quiet neighborhood and many of our neighbors are retired and active duty military and veterans. The houses in the community are much newer compared to the houses right outside the base gate.

What makes this property unique

Our home is set up for the visiting families of BMT trainees. We love the American tradition when families from far places meet in San Antonio for BMT graduations to welcome their new military member in the family. It is true joy and great pride to serve these families.
