You will find at GĂźte de la Paix a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, in a green setting.

Close to the city of Bayeux, its cathedral, its tapestry, its historic center and its amenities, you will be ideally located to enjoy the charm of the Bessin countryside while having quick access to sites related to the Landings: museums, memorials, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Arromanches, Longues sur Mer, etc...

Whether you want to immerse yourself in history, enjoy the local markets and taste the Normandy terroir, stroll along the ports, (re)discover the flowered coast and its prestigious seaside resorts (Cabourg, Honfleur, Deauville, etc.) , you will be in the right place here.

You can obviously choose to enjoy the many beaches while savoring a treat, the GĂźte de la Paix being located just 7 km from the first beach which will allow you to access all the others.

Our 70m2 gĂźte has on the ground floor a fitted/integrated kitchen with all the appliances necessary for your stay, and a relaxing living area.

Upstairs, you will find its two good-sized double bedrooms and their comfortable bedding promises you a restful and restorative sleep, a large bathroom and toilets.

Each living room is equipped with a high-definition flat screen. The TV in the living area is coupled with an Android box allowing you to access VOD and streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, etc.) if you have associated accounts.

Grill lovers can count on the Weber barbecue (47cm) at their disposal on the terrace.

Beyond the private terrace, you will have access to the 5000m2 of gardens which host the swimming pool, the tennis court, the ping-pong table and the Nordic bath.

We had a wonderful time here. They have done a marvelous job in creating this gite. It was beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. We had plenty of space and a fully equipped kitchen. We also found it to be in a good location to explore Normandy and the World War II attractions. I would highly recommend staying here.

Charming little home!

We stayed at this property for 2 nights in October and literally my ONLY regret was why the heck I didn’t book for a longer stay! It was absolute perfection! Property manager was excellent with communication and he and his spouse met us at check in and gave us a tour of their GORGEOUS property! They live onsite, so there are private areas with no access to guests (3 units on site, all with their own private outdoor spaces), however we found it perfectly comfortable, private and peaceful. Didn’t use the beautiful pool or tennis courts as it was October and we had plans for touring the area. Short drive from Bayeaux and found it easily with google maps. Bring food as there are no amenities in this little rural village. (Maybe 20 minutes drive from Bayeaux, but not too far). We were woken up both mornings by the church bells which I found to be totally enchanting. The decor is lovely and the master bedroom with attached bathroom-stunning! Second bedroom also furnished beautifully and tastefully, incredibly clean and perfect attention to detail with very comfortable beds. We are Canadians so we decided to visit the Canadian cemetery and Juno beach which weren’t too far away either. These lovely people definitely know how hospitality works, we were blown away. I would definitely recommend and hopefully one day we will find ourselves back here for another stay.

Der perfekte Urlaub! Wir waren total begeistert. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts. Die KĂŒche hat sowohl GeschirrspĂŒler als auch Backofen, Kaffeemaschine und Mikrowelle. Die Zimmer sind großzĂŒgig und sehr hell. Der Garten ist wunderschön, der Pool ein Traum und der Tennisplatz großartig! Arnauld und Jessica sind wunderbar herzliche Menschen. Sehr angenehm und jederzeit erreichbar. Gleichzeitig niemals aufdringlich.Der Ort ist ruhig und klein. EinkaufslĂ€den sind in 10 Minuten erreichbar sowie auch der Strand.Die Gegend ist sehr geschichtstrĂ€chtig (LandungsstrĂ€nde) was und gut gefallen hat.Wir kommen wieder!

Wunderschöne Tage in der Normandie

Wir haben 8 wunderbare Tage im Cottage Maison de la Paixe verbracht. Ein sehr gepflegtes und gemĂŒtliches Cottage in dem man sich schnell wie zu Hause fĂŒhlt. Arnaud ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber der sich bei allen Fragen sofort gekĂŒmmert hat. Wir werden im nĂ€chsten Jahr wieder dort unseren Urlaub verleben.
