This home offers a massive triple lot, 225' of river frontage with mature trees for shade and comfort. Nothing but a wide open view, inside or out of the river. We also have the deepest water on Horseshoe Bend, no matter how low it gets we still have at least 5-6 feet of water. Some places you'll only have ankle deep water which makes it very difficult to swim or fish. Just want to relax? No problem, sit back on the huge deck under the umbrella and enjoy the fresh air.
Since the majority of our guests stay on weekends we offer early check ins at 8am and late check outs. Subject to availability, send us an inquiry and we'll let you know.
There is a fire pit where you can watch the bats fly over head or gaze at the stars while cooking s'mores. It's pitch black, no lights unless you turn one on. Please bring your own firewood or purchase locally. There is also a gas grill for your grilling enjoyment.
House is professionally cleaned and sanitized after every guest.
We are open year round. Need a little harvest time getaway? Fall break from or with the kids? Tailgating for a Purdue Football game? Romantic weekend?
This is not a party house. No loud noise/music after 9pm. No fireworks of any kind. No pets.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend for my graduation. I was amazed by this property it felt like home away from home. The owners even set up a congrats grad table sign for me. If I was to ever visit Indiana again, I would definitely stay here.
Lovely property with thoughtful details and amazing hosts
We were visiting the area for a camp reunion and were delighted to find this lovely property available for the weekend. It was a perfect spot to rest between the reunion activities and offered a beautiful view of the river. The house had everything we needed and the hosts had thought of every detail to make us feel at home away from home.
Our oldest son is an incoming freshman to Purdue University. We were looking for a place to stay that was close enough to the University but far enough away to enjoy a family weekend together. This place did not disappoint! Greg and Jeri left a binder of recommendations
to check out in the area. Great info for people who have never been. The house was clean, great decor, and made you feel at home. 10/10 recommend. Thanks for letting us stay and spend our last weekend together before he went to college. Would definitely stay
again!again! and we'll derecommendations
The hosts were extremely accommodating. Awesome location. Watching the river go by, watching the rafters/floaters/kayakers on the Tippecanoe River and watching the birds, including eagle, was entertaining. Highly recommend!
This is a beautiful property! We had coffee by the river, enjoyed a small fire in the morning & just spending quality time as a family. The owners are wonderful, kind & thoughtful people who were easy to contact & answered all of our questions. We cannot wait to come back! We enjoyed it so much that our family was discussing finding a home in the area.

Stayed here at the end of the spring semester to help my son move out of his apartment and make the drive back to NC. Location is convenient to campus (25 minute drive) but far enough away to offer a peaceful stay. Owners were extremely accommodating and responsive. They also provided helpful local information before my stay. Rental was very clean and comfortable. Great river view.
My wife and I recently met an old friend here so we could relax along the river and visit the old haunts of our youth. Our host was great! The cabin was very clean and as advertised. The owner even arranged for us to have good weather! I'm confident we will be back!
This home was immaculately clean and the owners were extremely accommodating. We were awed by the beauty of the property and surrounding area. The view of the river from every window in the back was splendid! Great thought was given to every detail in the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living area for a welcoming stay. Thank you!
Property was super clean and nice inside, and we really enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the river flow and the wildlife (fish & birds and even an eagle.).
We wanted to stay somewhere a little out of the craziness of Campus while we were in Indiana to drop our daughter off at college. This place was perfect! Greg amd Jeri
This was our 3rd trip here and we had another wonderful experience. Clean and quiet accommodations, fast communication with hosts, and everything was described. We enjoyed lots of time on the deck by the water and campfires at night. Will definitely stay again!
The view was amazing, my family floated the river our first day of arrival, seeing bald eagles and large fish! The deck was nice to sit and watch..My first time staying in a place with only 1 tv, but really I think it’s cool, because it pushes you to enjoy the outside rather than sitting up in the house..
This is our second time staying here this year. I came in March for a girls getaway and we loved it so much that I booked for the summer with my kids. The house is so clean and well supplied. The kids enjoyed swimming in the river and watching the resident eagles fly by. Greg stopped by with sticks for s’mores and he was so friendly. We will definitely be back.
Great place to stay and connect with nature. Family had fun fishing. Place was very clean and stocked with family needs for a fun comfortable time. Highly recommend this place. Hosts communicate well thru out the reservation process and stay .
Hosts were great and very considerate.
They shared info about the area, left a baked treat, and nice touches such as having coffee and accouterments.
Loved every moment of it.

About the host
Hosted by Greg and Jeri Bonner
We are the Bonners, and this is our Riverview Hideaway. We've lived on the river over 25+ years. We enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, floating and hanging out with our awesome neighborhood friends, the Benders. We are happy to offer others the opportunity to escape the city and enjoy river life. There’s lots to see and do right out the door. Any questions please ask. We are very accommodating. We like being hosts because we live right next door. If you need anything just send us a text or holler at us when you see us outside. We're happy to loan items that may not be in the house. Plus we can give real time advice on the river condition, fishing or other activities in the area. Tell us why you're staying and you might get a surprise!
Why they chose this property
Located on the best and deepest fishing hole on Horseshoe Bend. We always have 6 foot of water no matter how low the river may get. It is a gradual decline to that depth which is great for kids and swimming. This area is great for fishing or playing in the water. Set up some outdoor fun like corn hole. Huge deck over looking the river if you just want to sit back and enjoy the view. If you’re in no hurry use a tube. Life vests are required by law. River shoes recommended always.
What makes this property unique
Surrounded by several mature trees there’s always a place in the shade. Just an awesome location for anything you want to do outside. Plenty of places to eat nearby or cook on the free gas grill. Everything about this home says I'll be back again. Check it our for yourself. Drive down or Google to take a look. 11256 West Horseshoe Bend Rd, Brookston, IN.
