Charming Masseria

Masseria Pezza is a beautifully renovated luxury country house, located a short distance from the town of Lecce in the middle of Salento region. The house is located amid the vineyards and olive trees, in a very unspoiled and rural country side and offers a magnificent view of the landscape full of vines of the Negramaro grape.
Once an old farmhouse, Masseria Pezza has been transformed into a very comfortable holiday home, retaining original features - such as old tiled floors and vaulted stone ceilings - and complemented by modern furnishings and natural materials and colors.
With 6 bedrooms spread over 2 floors, the house can accommodate 14 people and is ideal for a family vacation or a getaway with friends. The designer kitchen and attractive living room are ideal for cooking, eating, and relaxing together, with fireplaces providing warmth in the early and late season.
Around the house is an inviting large garden with shady areas and on the covered terrace, you can enjoy in the evening an al fresco dinner. Children can play on the lawn and the infinity pool provides welcome refreshment in the summer months.

I live in Milan, where I manage a restaurant called "Maison Milano". But I really love Puglia, which has become my second home and where I come as often as possible.

Why they chose this property

In 2006, I made a trip to the Apulian Salento region and I fell in love with it — the space, the natural beauty and the brightness. This was just when the masseria phenomenon was starting and I decided it would be a great project to buy an old farmhouse and have it as an alternative to the frenzy of Milan.

What makes this property unique

This part of Puglia it’s sleepier than others provinces, but it’s precisely for this reason that it offers a more authentic atmosphere and unexpected discoveries. It’s also a region where excellent wines are produced, with the vineyards of Negramaro and Primitivo marking the territory with their geometric patterns and colours. The whole region is scattered with wineries and farms offering tastings and gastronomic tours.
