Wunderschön renovierte Wohnung im herrlichen Saignon

Es handelt sich um eine sehr geschmackvoll renoviertes Ferienhaus in Saignon. Das Dorf ist in den Bergen über Apt gelegen und an sich schon eine Sehenswürdigkeit. Durch die zentrale Lage kann man innerhalb von max . 1-1:30h die Provence erkunden und auch die bekannteren Orte erreichen. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und wir konnten uns gut auf Englisch verständigen. Alles war wie im Inserat beschrieben und wir konnten das Ferienhaus auch gleich finden. Vielleicht sollte man noch einige Verbrauchsmaterialien( Toilettenpapier, Tabs, Seife,..) dabei haben, da diese bei der Ankunft etwas knapp waren. Noch einige Punkte: - der Parkplatz ist ca. 200m von dem Haus entfernt, direkt vor der Tür kann man nicht parken - es gibt keine Waschmaschine! In Apt gibt es einen Waschsalon “Laverie authentique“ und wir konnten dort ohne Problem die Wäsche waschen und trocknen - die Schlafzimmer sind durch eine Etage ( EG Küche) getrennt. ( EG1 Schlafzimmer+ Bad , EG Küche, UG 1 sind 2 getrennte Betten) Wenn man also mit (Klein)Kindern anreist, sollte man das beachten. Das Elternbett ist sehr breit , so dass man auch zu dritt dort schlafen kann - Endreinigung kostet 50€ extra und Bettwäsche 11 pro Person Bettwäsche - nach Buchung bekommt man noch einen Vertrag auf Französisch, wo diesen Angaben auch stehen. Alles in allem war es ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in dieser tollen Unterkunft!

Neuwertige und sehr gute Ausstattung mit toller Aussicht

Die Wohnung ist frisch renoviert und bietet eine gute bis sehr gute Ausstattung. Die Küchenutensilien und die sanitären Einrichtungen sind top. Viele nette Details machen den Aufenthalt angenehm. Es gibt z.B. ein Fernglas ! Das Allerbeste ist der phantastische Ausblick in das weite Tal in Richtung Apt. Selbst die Ockerfelsen von Roussillon sind zu sehen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war freundlich, wenngleich etwas schwierig, da dieser nur wenig englisch spricht. Im deutschen Inserat bei FeWo Direkt fehlten leider einige Angaben (Strom, Endreinigung und Bettwäsche kosten extra und es wird eine Kaution verlangt). Diese Angaben werden erst nach der Buchung mit dem Mietvertrag in französischer Sprache mitgeteilt. Das hat leider zu Missverständnissen geführt. Alles in allem war es ein gelungener Aufenthalt in einer tollen Wohnung in einem wunderschönen Provence-Städtchen auf dem Berg.

Herausragende Lage in einem authentischen Bergdorf, achtsam renoviert und modern eingerichtet, super netter Vermieter, sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Besichtigungen: in one word: perfect for relax und discover!

Choisie pour son point de vue et le charme de l'ancien, cette maison de village perché nous a ravis.

Choisie pour son point de vue et le charme de l'ancien, cette maison de village perché nous a ravis. Composée de 3 niveaux, on entre au niveau rue dans la pièce de vie et la cuisine (grande fenêtre sur point de vue + terrasse). A l'étage R+1, la chambre double et la sdb+wc. Au niveau inférieur R-1, la chambre d'été (plus fraîche) avec 2 lits simples, sa terrasse couverte et un accès direct à la ruelle. Les escaliers sont étroits, il faut donc bien tenir compte des recommandations du propriétaire : à éviter pour les personnes à mobilité réduite et pour les jeunes enfants car les chambres sont éloignées de 2 étages. L'arrêt devant la maison est possible pour charger et décharger les bagages, mais au quotidien il faut se garer à 200 m devant le terrain de foot. La maison est bien équipée et impeccable car rénovée récemment. Le propriétaire est accueillant et disponible. En bref, un gîte agréable et authentique dans un village centenaire du Luberon, ses ruelles caladées, sa jolie place de la Fontaine, la montée au Rocher de Bellevue et son point de vue panoramique.

Closer to Heaven in Provence

This is a truly 'heavenly' place in the quaint and picaresque village of Saignon in Provence. The owner, Etienne, who lives next door, was helpful and charming, and arranged for us to drop our bags at the accommodation before parking a short walk away at the entrance to the village which allows parking for residents only and even then it's where they have room to do so off the narrow streets. He has transformed the three storey building into a perfectly curated, modern, well equipped house. The panorama from the balcony is stunning - we could have stayed there all day taking in the view and the wonderful birdsong all around us. The village has a really good boulangerie/cafe, a gorgeous outdoor bar by the fountain on the square, and two good restaurants. There are more dining options in the town of Apt which is just a 10 minute drive away with a wonderful Saturday market and 2 large Supermarkets. Just to be aware - the stairs in the house are quite steep and for anyone sleeping in the lowest storey bedroom, there are two flights to ascend to the bathroom at night. While there is no washing machine, the Laverie Authentique in Apt is open all day, is self-service and is easy to use. I can still hear the Summer sound of the Swifts chasing around the hilltop village - simply a glorious spot to escape from this world.
