We stayed in this cozy little tiny home for a weekend—me, my husband, and our two kids (7 and 12)—and it was exactly what we needed. Peaceful, unplugged, and somehow both off-the-grid and just 30 minutes from Greenville. Each morning, our son would head straight to the dock to fish while our daughter made her way to the host’s house for duck feed and pets with the barn cat, Ollie. The ducks live in a little barn and get let out each morning to eat, bathe, then duck around all day, which was the purest little ritual to witness. There’s paddle boating, a fire pit, board games, and fishing equipment on site. We played Uno, Mancala, and Jenga. My husband and I had coffee on the porch while watching our kids run around the property, searching for rogue duck eggs or the cardinal that visited every day. It was truly a tiny blip of magic. The house itself was spotless, super comfy, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, it easily slept all four of us, and we never once had to contact the host because everything was so clearly thought through. If you’re looking for a lake-style weekend without the lake crowd—just you, the ducks, and a fishing poles—this is the spot. We will 110% be back!
