Uproot Family Farms "Peaceful, Picturesque, Perfect"

Uproot Family Farms is a quiet & peaceful place with beautiful pond & mountain views.
The large apartment is above our own home but completely private with your own entrance. You'll find rest relaxing out our back porch and watching gorgeous sunsets behind the mountains. We are just 20 miles from beautiful downtown Greenville and 40 miles to Asheville, North Carolina. We are also just 12 miles to the FENCE Equestrian Center, close to Tryon NC with hiking, fishing, swimming, apple and peach orchards, and quaint small towns. Great for large families or group get-togethers. Enjoy the peace of farm life without the chores. Enjoy feeding our ducks, dropping a line in our pond (catch and release policy, we love our fish), or sitting by a nice fire and just breathe. A fantastic place for longer term business stays or a family staycation.

It was amazing! Just perfect for a long weekend near family. The hosts were so kind to my grandchildren. And my parents 76 & 77 liked the peace and quiet and the gravel loop where they walked for exercise. A really nice weekend! And it was exactly as pictured in the photos. Almost to the blade of grass.

This was an exceedingly lovely stay. Very comfortable beds and clean rooms, and the hosts went above and beyond in supplying amenities. The hosts were notably gracious and quick to respond to any needs or concerns. This makes a very cute and restful rental or retreat for families and solo travelers alike, I would definitely recommend to others!

We really enjoyed our stay at Uproot Family Farms. The apartment was super clean, beautifully decorated, spacious, and included everything we needed plus extras for even more comfort. The farm was great, so pretty and relaxing. Our children loved the ducks, chickens, and the paddle boat on the pond! They asked to come back before we even left! Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect stay near Lake Bowen

What a beautiful property! Our accommodations were perfect, just the right amount of space. Four adults, so we only utilized the king and queen bedrooms, but the third bedroom with all the large bunks looked great too! Well stocked kitchen for all our needs and a comfortable living space for relaxing. The outside is so pretty with the dock, and we were provided with food to feed the very friendly flock of ducks! Downtown Inman was close by and so cute, and we only had a 10 minute drive to our friends’ house on Lake Bowen. Cheryl and Jim, it was so nice to meet you and I have a feeling we will be back!

Sweet farmhouse experience

We truly enjoyed our first VRBO experience, it was clean and plenty of room for our stay. The kids loved feeding the ducks and enjoying the backyard and we even had fresh homemade cinnamon rolls waiting for us in the frig upon arrival. The owners stayed in contact and were accommodating.

This was our first time. The entire experience was great. The communication was quick and pleasant. The Check-In was simple. All you need for the stay was provided in a clean and friendly home. Attention grabbing views, WiFi included for indoor tech needs and 'DuckFi' outdoors for those friendly welcome waddles. The location was so central and easy for commutes to any destination. There are so many near-by sites that having a plan to expand your trip's events is recommended. Of course now our suburb family requests more of these. See y'all next time.

Well worth it - amazing hosts, location, and amenities!

We just loved Cheryl and Jeff's amazing location in the country along with a very spacious, 3-BR floor to ourselves. The home has everything you can need, with a gorgeous hill "backyard" overlooking a gorgeous duck pond you can walk around and through trails - very cool if you want to go for a nice, peaceful walk.Basically, you're 15 - 20 minutes from all good places: Spartanburg, Greer, Greenville, and I recommend you also check out Landrum and Tryon, each only about 15 minutes away and well worth visiting.Cheryl and Jeff are amazing, hospitable hosts. Thank you for everything!!

Just like home away from home

This is a very unique setting, a place with its own pond. Fire pit, grill, outdoor games, and ducks! A very comfortable kitchen, and the rooms were very nicely decorated. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The hosts are very pleasant and very accommodating. Fresh flowers all through the house and cinnamon rolls in the refrigerator! You could tell they worked very hard to make us feel right at home. Highly recommend this property and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to rent again.

Peaceful Retreat!

We didn’t spend a lot of time in the property but I wish we had more time to enjoy their beautiful property! It was beautiful and the space is well equipped to ensure you enjoy it (fishing poles, seating areas, fire pit, cornhole boards, seating and lighting on the dock, duck food to feed the ducks). Cheryl and Jeff are so friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality comes through in every message or interaction and they are thoughtful. The space was EXTREMELY clean. And it would have been such a great retreat to recharge if we weren’t attending a conference.
