With perfect azure views from just about every room (and outdoor areas), Coastin' A-Long provides the dream setting for a vacation. Floating in the pool & gazing at islands in the sparkling ocean never gets old.

🛋️ LIVING AREAS:
This villa feels lovely & fresh with beachy Caribbean decor lifting your mood in every room.
The open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area are filled with air and sunlight and make for a very sociable space. There's plenty of comfy seating in the living area and a 40'' Smart TV (if you can bear to look away from those views). The modern kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances for self-catering (including dishwasher - no one wants to be washing up on vacation!). There's a choice of indoor dining areas - a breakfast bar with high stools or a dining table for 6.
🛏️ BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
The villa offers three bedrooms each a king bed, their own bathroom and direct access to outdoor spaces and sweeping ocean views, so no arguing over bedrooms necessary!
Bedrooms 1 and 2 are upstairs in the main house and offer similarly stunning views (bedroom 1 has an ensuite bathroom, bedroom 2 has it's own bathroom accessed from the landing. They both have floor-to-ceiling glass doors which slide open onto a shared balcony the width of the house, complete with comfy lounger and sofa. The perfect morning coffee spot.
The Captains Quarters (bedroom 3) is in a separate pavilion at the end of the pool deck. This bedroom is it's own little sanctuary, with huge floor-to ceiling glass doors framing the deep blue ocean and sky, & your own private outdoor shower!
☀️ OUTDOOR AREAS:
The French doors in the living room open onto a wrap around deck and create a wide-open living space with covered alfresco dining table and plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture for lounging by the pool. There's a built-in propane BBQ for grilling up some local fish or lobster.
The villa's tranquil surroundings offer peace and quiet to read a book on the deck, enjoy a cocktail, or fall asleep to the majestic view of the Atlantic. The turquoise pool just begs you to take a dip - unwinding has never been so easy.
There is also a magnificent wall to the back of the villa with local planting of shrubs and flowers.

NEIGHBOURHOOD
🏖️🍴🎾LONG BAY (3 MIN DRIVE/ 20 MIN WALK) - It's a pretty walk down but a fairly strenuous one up! At Long Bay you’ll find a mile-long stretch of white sand and turquoise waters and a selection of beachfront refreshment options - 1748 Restaurant, Tropical Fusion, Johnny’s Beach Bar and 1748 Coffee Shop. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis and Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! And a trip to the spa will relax you completely. (Pool passes are not currently available).
🏄♀️🍴 APPLE BAY (5 MIN DRIVE) – A little village with world-class winter surf and a handful of bars and restaurants (Sebastian’s Seaside Grille, Sugar Mill, Tramonti) for all occasions.
🥭🍴CARROT BAY (8 MIN DRIVE)
A lovely village where you'll find local fisherman, fruit stalls, North Shore Shell Museum and D’Coal Pot restaurant.
🏖️🍴SMUGGLER’S COVE (10 MIN DRIVE) – Smuggler’s Cove is idyllic and perfectly sheltered by its vibrant reef which provides sensational snorkeling and is home to Patricia’s laid-back beach bar. *cruise ship passengers sometimes come here so check out the BVI cruise ship schedule first: https://www.bviports.org/cruise-schedule
⛴️🍴🛒SOPER’S HOLE MARINA (10 MIN DRIVE) - Here you’ll find West End Ferry Terminal (where you can catch boats to fellow British Virgin Island Jost Van Dyke and US Virgin Islands St John and St Thomas) and a great selection of restaurants, a well-stocked grocery store, boat charter companies, shops and more.
🍴WINDY HILL (10 MIN DRIVE)
Head to Stoutts Lookout for a chilled beer with an incredible view over the bay or Banakeet (Heritage Inn) restaurant for one of the best dinner spots to watch the sunset on island.
🏖️ 🛒💃 🍴CANE GARDEN BAY (15 MINS DRIVE)
The buzziest beach on island, you'll find a whole variety of restaurants, bars & nightlife (Indigo Beach House, Elms, Paradise Bar, Myett's plus many more) lining the water. You'll also find a small grocery store, a white sand beach with calm swimming and options for watersports and Callwood's Rum Distillery. *all these amenities mean that the cruise ship passengers come here so check out the BVI cruise ship schedule: https://www.bviports.org/cruise-schedule
GETTING HERE
✈️ TERRANCE B. LETTSOME AIRPORT (EIS) (50 MIN DRIVE) is on Beef Island in the East End of Tortola (connected by bridge). It’s the only airport on Tortola and where you'll fly into.
⛴️ WEST END FERRY HARBOUR (10 MIN DRIVE) The closest place to catch a ferry to connect you to the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St John) and fellow BVI Jost Van Dyke
🚗 Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 12 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. We can help you to reserve a 4WD SUV or direct you to recommended local car rental companies who understand that good 4WD vehicles are mandatory to explore with confidence. They can offer delivery to your port of entry or villa (we can help organise you a taxi to take you to the property) & carry a selection of cars & jeeps. Jerrys Car Rental is the easiest car rental company to work with online.

Why they chose this property
It has been a crazy time in all of our lives. I know it is difficult, but take yourself back to Mid-March 2020, when the pandemic was just beginning to gain momentum. The island of Tortola was wide open, but travelers had already stopped traveling. We arrive on the island with one specific house in mind, but wanted to look at others. Our realtor met us on the mountain adjacent to a small quaint watering hole called Rudy's bar. We liked the house that we came to look at, but we both felt it was missing something. The layout was good and it had a nice Caribbean feel, but just something about the ambience.
We tasked our realtor with finding a place that had everything that we were looking for. We looked at several properties, no such luck. However, she really felt good about this property and we knew within minutes of our arrival, it "checked all of the boxes" and had such a great feel! Of course, we knew it would need some updates (complete as of 7/5/2021), but it was perfect. We had heard that the Long Bay resort was rebuilding which would even make it more perfect!
We sit at a middle table in the open area of Pusser's in Cane Garden Bay. It was a dark and rainy evening, Covid had allowed us to be about the only seated table, it was just us and the chickens. We decided then to make an offer and the rest is history! The purchase process in the BVI for a "non-belonger" is longer and more detailed than other places, but we finally became owners in December 0f 2020.
Long Bay has been remodeled and is open for business, Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar is close and you can see all the way to Cane Garden Bay from our deck! The location is perfect and everything we had hoped for.
We are incredibly blessed and look forward to sharing this wonderful property with you.
