We've stayed at several places rented on VRBO and this was wonderful- we were in town for a wedding and loved having this lovely place to return to. Very comfortable, a well stocked kitchen and everything we could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Slept well, very clean, and towels/linens were provided (when we booked I thought it said we had to bring our own, so worth adding here). The property owner was in touch through the app and answered the couple of questions we had before and after check in very promptly. If we have occasion to return to the area we would absolutely stay again!
Our family had a wonderful late Christmas celebration this week. This home gave us the extra space we needed to enjoy our visit. The home sits on a beautiful country lot. The kids had fun in the yard with their snow tubes and snow shoes. The house had many amenities including the hot tub, 2 large TV 's and ping ping! The kitchen was lovely and well equipped. The open concept design made it easy to talk to family. We would love to visit again.

So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay! We’d love to have you back for your next family get together!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at this property. Very spacious and clean. Beautiful, private setting yet close to everything. Very comfortable, lots of amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice house and the amenities were great.
We love the portable air conditioner but it was unseasonably hot while we were there. Another air conditioner upstairs would have been helpful. We enjoyed all the games including ping pong and cornhole boards. The three fans were helpful to cool us down. The owner was very accommodating for our needs.
The house was very clean & accommodating for our family of five adults and a baby. We enjoyed having all of the privacy of the woods around us & sitting out on the porch.
It took us about 15 minutes to get to Long Lake where we spent a lot of our time enjoying the water.
It would have been nice to use the hot tub in the evenings, but it seems that it is only available during winter months.
The host was always available with any questions I had so it was a very enjoyable stay.
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. Great location, very quiet and private! Cabin has everything, very neat, clean and has nice decor all around. We absolutely loved it there and looking forward to coming back!
We had a great stay at the cabin. It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities as advertised.
It has 2 bathrooms but the master bedroom/bath does not have a door - to the room or bathroom. We could tell by the picture that there was no bathroom door, but we didn’t realize the bedroom did not have a door. This setup did not work well for our family since there were 6 of us trying to share the private bathroom but other families may like it.
Beautiful, well-equipped home. Owners were kind and very responsive. We loved the firepit in the yard. This is a busy region in the summer - call ahead of time for boat reservations on Kezar lake. Lovely small town America feel in Sweden and surrounding towns.

About the host
Hosted by Courtney
This is a family owned property, when the cabin is not rented, our family gathers here since our extended family lives in 5 different states. My husband and I have both been in the hospitality/entertainment industry for over a decade and we have been in the real estate business for over 10 years. We love to celebrate the little things, because why not! We're adventurous, outdoorsy, and love a little getaway which is exactly what this beautiful log cabin provides.
Why they chose this property
Sweden is a quiet, beautiful, picturesque town in Maine. You’re secluded enough to feel like you’re in the middle of the woods without a soul around but if you forgot the whiskey or an ingredient for a homemade pizza don’t worry, you only have a 15 minute drive! Theres beach’s and trails, lakes and local shops all within 20 minutes of one another. You’ll see deer and turkeys in the yard, and maybe even a fox in the woods if you’re quick enough! And just a town over you can experience some yearly traditions such as the Fryeburg Fair and an ice fishing derby! Sweden is the place to be if you want to experience what Maine is all about.
What makes this property unique
Our log cabin sits on 8 acres of land. We’re surrounded by beautiful woods, a pond down the road and just a few steps further we have amazing views of Mount Washington. We also have snowmobile and ATV trails at the end of our road.
