Was a lovely apartment. Just what they needed for a family visit.

I would absolutely rent with Dean again. There were littles there for the visit and it was just right.

Lansing Stay!

We loved the place, felt so cozy and soothing that made such a trip we had been stressing over as smooth as chocolate, can't recommend enough! Some loud neighbors but we just drowned it out with the wonderful TV setup. Thank you so much!

Nightmare

Apartment was filthy: floors were dirty and the 'swifter' in the closet had a dirty pad on it (no other pads to use anywhere and I used a towel to mop the entire apartment the first night), dirty dishes in dishwasher, greasy fingerprints on table and cupboard doors, mold under bath mat in tub (I had to scrub it), one light bulb out of 4 working in bathroom, burner too large for drip pan so you are cooking on a very unlevel burner on stove, NO INTERNET THE ENTIRE 7 DAYS OF OUR STAY, response from Host was poor, often taking more than 24 hours. no hangers to hang clothes and no iron (host claims a steamer was in closet - it was not), No dishwasher tabs to use (maybe why the dishes for us were left dirty - disgusting), links on emails do not work making responding or contacting hosts difficult especially when we had no internet. One or two issues would be no problem but this was a nightmare. So disappointed with this property, host, property management and VRBO.

Hi Terri! We're very sorry that you had an issue with the internet during your stay. As soon as we were notified of it, we got right on fixing it. This was a one off incident, not a trend at this property. We communicated with you multiple times throughout your stay. So, it's unclear what links for contact were not working. The cleaning issues seem to have appeared a few days into your trip, after we asked you to keep the noise down because of complaints from other guests. Sorry again for the internet issue. Thank you for staying with us.

The worst experience I have ever had with VRBO!!!!

I rented this apartment for my employee. She arrived and was not able to lock the door. She was a single female and we decided to have her leave rather than risk her safety. Also, the apartment was dirty, the only thing that the cleaning people did was make the bed, AND the smell of marijuana was HORRIBLE. I tried to reach the property Manager, Dean that evening, when she was checking in. There was no answer. My employee had to leave and get a hotel room. We were not able to use the apartment at all. Dean never reached back out to me at all besides sending me checkout instructions at the end of our "stay". When I explained to him that we were not even able to use the apartment, and wanted a refund, he explained that he tried to call me and I didn't answer. He stated that he called the "number on file", and it was just too bad, I wasn't going to receive a refund. I asked my credit card company to reverse the charges, and now VRBO has sent me over an email to prove my case since Dean will not consider a refund even though we never used the apartment and I have proof that I tried to reach out to him via the message center in VRBO on the night we tried to "check in". Here is the last message I seen from Dean (which by the way, he has NO PROBLEM very quickly communicating via the website now!) Message from the host We are aware of your attempt to leverage a refund using the threat of a bad review. That has been documented multiple times by our team. Fire away. WOW

Future hosts do not rent to this guest. She had an issue with her client not knowing how to lock the door. She sent a message to us about it. We called back, getting no response. This was the only communication we received during her clients stay. When we sent check out instructions to her at the end of her stay, she tried to threaten us with a bad review if we didn't refund the stay. Had she responded to us, or voiced an interest in cancelling her stay at all, we could have done that. Blocking our calendar for two weeks after not returning our calls, then trying to hold us hostage for a refund with the threat of a bad review, is not a situation we are used to experiencing, or have any interest in acquiescing to. There was no issue that we were told about other than the client not being able to figure out the locking mechanism. If there was a cleanliness or smell issue, we did not hear about it, and haven't heard about from other guests who have stayed in this unit over the years, or since. Donna got what she wanted. She left a terrible review. We will get what we want if we never have to host her again. We advise other hosts not to either.

Very nice

Good location, few minutes from everything, including the state capital. Its right across the street from the airport, it was a pretty cool view. We spent a lot of time watching the planes. The property itself was so cute.
