The home was very nice. Loved the pool, pool table, suggested restaurants by host, and the snacks. We really appreciated not having to bring covers for the furniture for our pup too! Sara was very responsive and helpful! Would stay again when in the area!
Property was as posted. Enjoyed our stay just outside St Augustine which has lots of historic sites to visit. Owner was pleasant and quick to respond when we had any questions.
Me and my 4 kids loved the house. It was clean, well stocked and in a very convenient location. The pool was a big hit. We would definitely stay again.
The house was very clean and Sara was very helpful. The only 2 issues we had was the trash and we wish the pool guy wouldve come more often. With the pool not having a cover it got alot of bugs and grass/leaves (from s storm). Other than that we would highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about this vacation home! We had a blast! The pool was fabulous! The best restaurant Drunken Horse was the best place to eat!
This house is lovely. Sara is an amazing host. The details she put into posting instructions so you would know how to use the property was amazing. She even created a little book welcoming guests to the Morningview Retreat with recommendations for restaurants and local attractions.check-The property is beautiful. The yard is lovely. The pool was perfect. And although it was cool Sara messaged me when the water was heated to 85 so I could enjoy the pool. I have arthritis and this was such a pleasant experience. Another delightful surprise, was the fact that as a host, she thought to include a handicap stool in the showers and handheld showers. For somebody with arthritis this was extraordinary. The furniture was comfortable too. The recliners in the back room by the backyard were wonderful to relax in after a long day. The bed was extremely comfortable. She had plenty of towels, plenty of pillows, plenty of blankets?anything you could need. We walked in and it felt like home. We were traveling with our little Yorkie and she was calm from the minute she stepped in the house.I can't say enough about this property, and Sara as a host, I highly recommend this property as a wonderful home away from home!
This home had great space inside and out. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Central location to everything we needed. Sara was easy to communicate with and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat.
The kids loved the pool and games. Grandpa loved the comfortable accommodation. Mom and dad loved the huge kitchen and master bedroom. It’s a good vacation when you wish it wasn’t over so fast. The owner was really good at communicating with us. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
The house looks just like the pictures, we most definitely enjoyed our stay there are certain aspects of the house that could of used a little attention when it comes to cleanliness but over it was bare able . Would 100% book again if I choose to stay in the same area.

Thank you for your feedback! Would love to host you again if you come back to the area. We take pride in offering a clean house for our guests so I will be reaching out to determine which aspects you feel need more attention. We want everyone to feel they are in a clean environment during their stay!
Very Nice house …huge yard with plenty of grass so our dogs loved it…nice pool…safe neighborhood for walks. Master king bed needs replacing. Otherwise furnishings were very nice.

Thank you for your feedback! The concern about the bed in the master bedroom was addressed as soon as you mentioned it to us. We understand that mattress preferences vary immensely from person to person and we try to make sure the mattresses in our properties are comfortable and accommodate a wide range of sleepers.
Quiet and peaceful location, relaxing and clean yard with beautiful pool. Pretty much all the necesites needed for a home away from home. Welcome basket with treats and water bottles! The game Room With the darts and pool Table is perfect for the time spent indoors.
Was as described. The pool was a little dirty but no big deal. The grill was also out of propane. These are minor issues and I would recommend this to anyone traveling to the area. The house has plenty of room for 7-8 ppl. Very nice place.

Thank you for your feedback! The pool is typically very clean as the professional pool company comes out each week to clean, vacuum, and adjust chemicals as needed. On days when it's windy or stormy, the leaves from the plants used to create privacy from neighbors do get into the pool, so we always have the necessary tools handy if swimmers ever want to do a quick skim of the pool. We also always have an extra full tank of propane on the property should the tank on the grill run out of propane during a guest's stay. If we had known about this issue, we would have remedied the situation immediately.
This home is spacious, and comfortable. Plenty of room for us and our adult children (20’s). We enjoyed the heated pool, the entertainment room with the huge tv, loved the pool table. Fenced in yard for our pups and privacy. Sara was easy to reach with any questions. Nice neighborhood with a horse across the street and a train nearby which we love. Easy access to stores and entertainment. My daughter became ill with strep and there was an urgent care down the road to take care of us. We would stay again for sure. No one wanted to leave!
We had a fantastic stay in St. Augustine! The house was ideally situated near both the town and the beaches, making it perfect for our needs. The home was very comfortable and had something for everyone in the family. Our kids had a blast in the pool, our dog loved exploring the spacious backyard, and we appreciated the two living rooms and the game room for relaxation and fun.The hosts were exceptional. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with thoughtful treats, and the house was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, even bandaids! When we encountered a minor issue with a leak, Sara and her husband responded right away. They did everything possible to resolve it and were incredibly helpful. Leading up to our trip, Sara was also quick to answer all my questions, making the planning process so much easier.Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend this place to others!
I can't say enough Good about this home. It met all of our expectations. It is an exceptionally well thought out property having everything you need for a home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked for any type of cooking you'd like to do. Televisions in 5 rooms, pool table if the weather stinks, swimming pool if it doesn't. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to everything and a large fenced in yard which was great for our 2 labs. Even a second private seating area to have your coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. And the communication and concern from Sara was immediate. Thank you Sara for a very pleasant and memorable stay.
As a family of six adults we found our stay comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied for cooking our meals. The backyard was super roomy for our dogs. We loved the heated pool after our days at the many beaches just 15 minutes away. It is a quiet neighborhood a distance from Route One. Bring your passwords for the Amazon Fire TVs. Plenty of beach towels and bath towels provided. Beds were decent. The home was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the second great room, especially in the morning. Sara is a wonderful hostess who responded quickly to our questions about the area and offered ideas for us to consider as sightseeing. We would consider coming back for another stay in the future.
Pretty big, love how there were two living rooms. Kids enjoyed the game room with the pool table. Pool was nicely heated, but could have been warmer. Master room dresser drawers were pretty filthy, but we only stayed a few days so it was ok for us. Beach towels would have been nice to have a few on hand. Plenty of dishes, cups and utensils. Should get rid of the carpet and replace with wood or tile. Pretty neat set up of panthlets for museums and parks hanging by master room on the wall. Property manager is amazing and answers all questions and helps out as much as possible. A nice place to stay, but a bit on the pricey side.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for your honest review. It's always nice to hear when guests enjoy the amenities on the property including the pool table, entertainment room, and the pool! Unfortunately, we had some rain the morning of your arrival that led to a little snap of "Florida winter" during your stay which impacted the pool temperature. There are plenty of pool/beach towels in the hallway closet; those must have been overlooked. Thank you for your feedback regarding the flooring and the brochures about many of the attractions around St. Augustine.
We really loved our stay here, so much so that we added an extra night! The pool was awesome, there were so many little additions that make this place a winner, the lounge chairs, the coffee and snacks, full kitchen of whatever you need, you can tell the owner takes very good care of this home and has made many updates (shower heads, granite counter tops, remote fans, outdoor lighting and landscaping, comfy mattress, nice towels, great washer/dryer, large TVs in each room). The home is in a pretty "woodsy" area with some large properties but just a short drive to stores and downtown or the beaches.
Our only issue was the A/C struggling in the late afternoons, but then again it was August, our hottest month, and it did cool down fine once the sun went down. Whether traveling with kids or dogs, I'd highly recommend considering this rental. It's spaced out - so if traveling with another couple or kids, it would work well. Both showers are spacious and great and the place was SUPER CLEAN upon arrival. We will be back again! Thank you Sara!
This is our second time staying at this property. We loved it the first time and loved it this time too! Sara is super friendly, and always made sure we had everything we needed. (i thought it was nice how she knew a certain way we liked the master bed without needing to be reminded....)
We enjoyed the pool and used it frequently. The location is close to everything (there's even a great ice cream shop close by, yum!) We love the space in her house...it just spreads out. The billiard and dart room are a wonderful distraction if the weather isn't perfect to swim. This year there was an added foosball table!
Sara has been generous in supplying soaps and trash bags, toilet paper etc. Beach and shower towels are at the ready. There was even a little snack box on the kitchen counter with water bottles when we arrived! Such a "homey" touch..
The yard was nice to bring our pup...enough grassy area for him to get to "explore" and everything is fenced so in the wee hours of the morning we could just put him out in the yard and know he was safe!
The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to use.
thank you Sara for yet another nice stay in Florida!!
The house is big and can accommodate a large group. Overall I wasn’t super impressed. The kitchen is not well-stocked, despite the fact that the owner worked her butt off to clean the place it really wasn’t clean enough. I had to clean the bathtub in the master bedroom because it had dirt all in the bottom. The lid of the trashcan had so much nasty trash gunk in it I had to clean that as well. We cleaned the pool on three separate occasions because the pool man never came. The grill ran out of gas in the middle of me cooking on day one and the grease trap on the bottom was overflowing. Now on that one the owners were there within minutes to bring a new gas tank but it was just still unfortunate nobody wants to go through that while grilling. There is an apartment attached to the house that is rented out which I did not know and was not my favorite news. Although the people that rented that apartment were no bother, it’s just funny when you think you’re renting a house and you find out that there’s an apartment attached to it. Overall for what I paid to stay there for four nights I was not overly impressed. The most positive thing I have to say about this property is that it’s very big.

Thank you for your feedback, Jasmine. We truly value all of our reviews and critiques, although I strongly feel that we have provided you with quality hospitality. There is an attached apartment to the house which is clearly indicated on the listing and is also mentioned in the first message I send to all guests who inquire or book a reservation. The pool is typically very clean as the pool company comes out twice each week over the summer. On days when it's windy or stormy, the leaves from the plants used to create privacy from neighbors do get into the pool, so we always have the necessary tools handy if swimmers ever want to do a quick skim of the pool. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, knives, pots and pans, bakeware, mixing and serving bowls, colander, cutting board, baking sheets, pot holders, hand towels, and many different types of cooking utensils (spatula, measuring cups and spoons, scissors, can opener, slotted spoons, mixing spoons, tongs, ladle, corkscrew, pizza cutter, etc.) plus a coffee pot, French press, toaster oven, slow cooker, and electric can opener. I'd appreciate your feedback on what's missing, and regret that I was not informed prior as I would have been happy to provide that for you. Cleanliness is a top priority of ours, and we take pride in all the reviews that mention how clean the house is. On that particular day, as you mentioned, I was working hard to have the place ready for your 4:00 check-in. When you arrived an hour early without notice to check-in, I did my best to happily accommodate you. In a fluster, the bathtub and grill did not get as thorough of a cleaning as the rest of the house did. We were also quick to accommodate you with a new propane tank as it replaced within 15 minutes of being notified that gas had run out. We aim to provide a wonderful vacation experience to all of our guests while visiting St. Augustine and truly appreciate feedback so we can make it a top quality stay.
Host was great and very responsive to e-mails. House was very clean. We had a very relaxing week. Would not hesitate to stay again

About the host
Hosted by Sara Galloway
We fell in love with St. Augustine’s beaches and historic charm as kids and made our dream come true by relocating here in 2012. Now longtime locals, we enjoy sharing everything we love about St. Augustine, Crescent Beach, and the surrounding coastal area. We work in communication—one as an American Sign Language professor and the other as a Speech-Language Pathologist—and we are passionate about hosting families, snowbirds, and beach-loving travelers. As hosts, we’re excited to share our favorite restaurants, beach spots, and hidden gems with guests staying in our family-friendly, pet-friendly St. Augustine vacation homes.
Why they chose this property
We love this neighborhood because it has the peaceful, laid-back feel that St. Augustine is known for, but it’s still only a short drive to Crescent Beach, St. Augustine Beach, and all the attractions downtown. The half-acre lot gives the home plenty of privacy and outdoor space, which is rare this close to the coast. One of our favorite things about the neighborhood is how perfectly the house fits into it—spacious rooms, an open layout, a private pool deck, a large game room, and plenty of indoor/outdoor space for families and friends to gather. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the day at the beach, come home to swim, grill out, play pool, or relax in the entertainment room without ever feeling crowded.
What makes this property unique
Our property stands out because it offers the best of both worlds—a peaceful, spacious setting in a quiet neighborhood, yet only a short drive to Crescent Beach, St. Augustine Beach, and historic downtown St. Augustine. The home sits on a rare half-acre lot with a private heated pool, fenced yard, entertainment room, full game room, and plenty of space for families, groups, and pets. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Florida’s coast while having a truly comfortable, private retreat to come home to.
