About this property

Our antique farmhouse is minutes from town, hiking, and swimming. The large fenced in yard has a private pool, treehouse and apple and pear orchard and beautiful landscaping. The three bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and televisions, and the den has a sleep sofa. The house comfortably sleeps 11 people. There is a lovely patio and screened porch that overlook the pool and yard. It is a beautifully equipped home with high speed internet and cable television. All of the furnishings are new and perfect for a relaxing Berkshire vacation.
Great Barrington offers a great deal of outdoor fun in all seasons. Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow and the Berkshire Theater are all nearby along with many wonderful restaurants.

Love this Great Barrington house!

This sun-filled house was simply wonderful! The owners have really set it up for guests to walk right in and feel at home. The property is beautiful with landscaping providing true privacy. Everything works from the appliances to the AC to the pool. We were there during a huge rainstorm that flooded basements but NOT this house. It was snug and dry. The location is awesome. By car, it's just a straight shot down the road into the main drag of Great Barrington. Oh and the Wifi worked great. Both my husband and I could work the entire time with no hiccups (very rare for the Berkshires!). The owners were lovely and quick to answer any questions. Definitely would rent again and again! One thing to note is that the house sits at a slightly busy intersection so you do hear cars and trucks though muffled by the trees. We stopped noticing it after a few days.

Ideal family stay at historic farmhouse on lovely property

We had a wonderful stay at spacious farmhouse well-suited for both work & leisure. The wi-fi & office space was more than adequate. The kitchen was well-stocked with top-of-the line appliances. We enjoyed the outdoor amenities especially the large grill & seating areas. The heated pool was great. The kids loved it with room for their floats & toys. We were all happy to have it. The kids were also excited to pick apples & pears in the orchard. Three large bedrooms with their own bathrooms meant relaxation for all. Plus flat screen tv’s in almost every room were a bonus. A comfy den with skylights & large living room - both with sectional sofas - and a 10 seat kitchen table easily accommodated our group. A pantry with additional beverage & wine refrigerators were appreciated. The owners were kind hosts attentive to our needs. The caretaker as well. House was well-situated to downtown Great Barrington, Tanglewood & other attractions. A fine stay.

We purchased this home as a family winter home for skiing at Butternut. We fell in love with the wide plank floors and original 1830 beams. We also have been thrilled with the updated kitchen and amenities. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
