COMFY, QUIET & CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!
Our home is perfect for Vacation, Family, or Work, and includes new memory foam mattresses, new couches, and new stove.

1m from grocery stores, mall & bus, & 15m from downtown Seattle & Puget Sound.

Features include high-speed wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, children's toys, a large backyard with gas BBQ, 2 patio tables, rope swings, and a trampoline for the kids.

note: Cleaning & bath products are as environmentally conscious as possible.

THE SPACE - Enjoy the decor and soft ocean theme of beaches, boats, and aquatic creatures, including the whimsy of mermaids in the guest bedroom. With this fresh new look, we have also repainted the bathroom, added new wall fixtures, and a soft cloth shower curtain to give a very welcoming and relaxing feel.

As well, we have brand new electric, leather couches to sit back and watch the birds flitting in our large maple tree outside or chat with your family and friends.

Meanwhile, you will smell the alluring aroma of the coffee, coming from the kitchen, being made by the Keurig-style coffee maker as you watch a movie streamed from your favorite program from your phone to our TV or connect to wifi to utilize any device you need.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities, including a new oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, refrigerator/freezer and plates, silverware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and seasonings/condiments. The kitchen opens up to the dining room which connects to the living room and other parts of the home.

The dining room is well equipped to double as a remote office or laptop station that is well-lit and has high-speed internet, an outlet nearby, and some office supplies.

We have a dedicated master bedroom with a king-sized bed, a second bedroom with a queen, and a third bedroom with a sturdy, comfortable bunk bed. (Note: All main beds have brand-new memory mattresses with organic cotton linens)

We also supply one extra air mattress for a 7th place to sleep. All linens and bedding are included. It may be located wherever you wish. (note: air mattresses are located in the master bedroom closet)

For the little extras, we have provided extra towels, linens, and a clothing steamer for your convenience in the bathroom, as well as, a fire extinguisher, emergency ladder, and medical kit in the closet of the master bedroom.

Our non-smoking home is kept as environmentally friendly as possible, including sustainable cleaning products and bath soaps, and maintaining or reusing furniture.

GUEST ACCESS - At this property, there are three private living units. The first and second floors of the house are 2 separate rentals and the third is the Host's private RV "Breezy" which is only on the property when the Hosts are in town. They are...

CITY ESCAPE - Your unit is the main part of the house on the upper level. Its private access is at the main front door and the unit allows 2 free dedicated parking spaces parked in the driveway closest to the main door.

ALDERWOOD NEST - The second unit is a studio apartment on the lower level. Its private access is a door at the back of the house, and this unit allows 2 free dedicated parking spaces parked in the driveway furthest from the main door.

SHARED SPACES - The backyard with swings and an outdoor table and chairs with an umbrella, the front yard, and the drive.

COMMUNITY - The surrounding neighborhood and community is a standard open neighborhood with a quick drive or walk to retail, restaurants, grocery, civic, and freeway entrances. There is a nice children's park just a few blocks away.

OTHER NOTES - We are looking forward to a brand new deck sometime in the near future. Meanwhile, the deck is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience and I am sure you will still fully enjoy your stay. Meanwhile, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful backyard through the access at the Eastside of the home. The yard is beautiful year-round, but it is kept in its natural state through the late fall to early spring to give more habitat to animals and birds, give nutrients to the lawn and flowerbeds, and give you a sense of season and natural habitat.

Grandma's visit
We enjoyed our stay and being able to meet the owners and their family. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. We were disappointed to discover the back deck was unusable. We had been looking forward to being outside to enjoy coffee in the morning. As older ladies we also were concerned about the slippery tub. A no skid mat should be available. We appreciated the installation of a gate at the top of the stairway into the house for young families. However, it was not very secure.

Accommodating
We were in town for the funeral of my husband's father. We met here with our adult children and two grandchildren. The owners did everything they could to accommodate us, letting us come a little early to drop off bags before we headed to a family gathering the first day, and offering whatever possible to make our time easier. The house was pleasant, clean and well-equipped. It was a little warm the first night because we had higher temperatures than usual in the Pacific Northwest and the fans were more effective if we could leave all the doors opened--which we couldn't. However that only affected the first night. The thoughtful touches in every room and the condiments, some food, and beverage's in the kitchen made it a place where we could relax and be together. Thanks so much.

Great location, quiet neighborhood. Wonderful kitchen! All the supplies we needed. Older home with few electric outlets. Baby gate at the stairs. Gate would be great for small children, it was a bit of a pain for us. Would recommend having it taken down if possible for folks who don't need it. Really nice home, GREAT hosts!

Convenient
This is an older property with need of a few cosmetic repairs. It was spotless clean upon arrival. The host was quick to reply to any questions or needs. It is ideally located, a 4 min drive to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Would definitely rent again.

Spending weeks here would not be enough to see or do everything.

This home is close to everything but is in a very quiet neighborhood, where all of the long-time neighbors/friends are friendly and trustworthy. The space has a beautiful ocean decor, supplies toys, books and games, and is pet and smoke-free.

The products in our home are as sustainable and organic as possible.
All soaps, toiletries, and cleaning supplies are made from the most natural/organic products we can find. And, if we cannot repurpose any of the furniture or other items in the home, we find the most sustainably made products possible, including organic cotton sheets and all-natural, 100% organic towels.
