Our second visit, as good as the first!

We love this gite, very comfortable and homely on a beautiful estate, we spent lots of time in the pool, exploring the grounds and cooking on the bbq, the owners were helpful amd friendly, would love to return again in the future

A wonderful week in La Leurande

We had a wonderful week, the weather was fine, the house was charming and the owners most helpful and friendly. The swimmingpool is a great invention and we used it every day.

Pleasant start in the middle of nowhere

We had a great stay with our kids and dog at Angeline’s. The pool was the main centre of attraction and it was a royal feeling to be walking within the castle’s parks. One must know there is not much to do in the area - no amusement parks or larger cities nearby, which is what we loved about it. There were military jets flying over us at least once a day, but it didn’t bother us. The bakery on the way into Revigny is heavenly and don’t miss out on pizza night in Nettancourt! Have a good holiday!

Perfect for the family

With super grounds for our 3 yr old grandson to play in, a heated pool and plenty of places to walk, it was difficult to leave the grounds and surroundings of this gite. The chateau is a marvellous backdrop.Rather than get in a car find a restaurant in a neighbouring town, barbecuing in the garden was the choice each evening (a few more utensils would have been useful) to everyone's satisfaction. Thanks to our charming hosts for inviting us into the chateau and learning a little of its history.

Das Haus ist das Gärtnerhaus eines alten Herrenhauses und liegt wunderschön in den großen Park, der ebenfalls zum Anwesen gehört. Es ist geräumig, hat zwei Badezimmer und ein extra WC sowie drei Schlafzimmer und eine große Wohnküche. Wenn man aus der Tür tritt kann man in einem großen Vorgarten an einem Tisch mit Sonnenschirm sitzen. Wer mag, kann mit einem Kamin heizen. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das mehr als 200 Jahre alte Haus hat einen liebevollen Charme und viel Geschichte. Unsere Kinder liebten aber vor allem den Pool, der 30 Meter daneben liegt und den wir ausgiebig genießen konnten. Angeline und ihr Mann haben sich toll um uns gekümmert, waren bei jeder Frage zur Stelle und haben uns sogar einmal ins Herrenhaus eingeladen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit!

Bel endroit au calme dans la verdure.Logement sympa. Lits faits à l'arrivée. Piscine propre et bien située. Propriétaires discrets et accueillants.Petite mare aux grenouilles et balades dans la propriété appréciées. Beaux coins à visiter (Verdun, st Dizier...Troyes...)Idéal famille, enfants. Juste un petit bémol sur le ménage au niveau des vitres et toiles d'araignée, mais c'est la campagne...Donc gîte que nous recommandons pour séjour sympa.

Fijn huis op prachtig terreinvan kasteel met zeer vriendelijke eigenaars

We hadden geen goede routebeschrijving en erg weinig info over het huis (Borgsom? Opgemaakte bedden? Terras met tuinmeubels? We wisten het niet). Maar het kwam allemaal goed. De temperatuur was helaas erg laag, zodat we maar 2x gebruik hebben gemaakt van het zwembad. Het kasteel met het park was heel bijzonder en de eigenaars waren zeer gastvrij. Veel vogels, eekhoorns en zelfs een vosje op het terrein. Heerlijk rustig, behalve de drukke weg er langs.

Prachtige plek, heerlijk zwembad en heel ruim

Prachtige plek om een paar dagen te verblijven met mooi weer. De tuin/landgoed is een heerlijke plek om te spelen voor kinderen. Met mooi weer hoef je het terrein niet af. Met regen en wat kouder weer is er in de omgeving niet zo veel te doen. Of je moet wat verder willen rijden. De foto's doen geen eer aan hoe mooi het huis is. In het echt veel mooier en groter!

Wunderbares Cottage mit Schlossblick und Pool

Wir waren als Familie zu dritt bei den Gastgebern Angeline und Ehemann im ans Schloss angrenzenden Cottage untergebracht. Sehr sauber und sehr gute Ausstattung. Ein zauberhafter Ort voller Ruhe und Natur. Der Pool und der schöne Park sorgen für Erholung.Ideal für Ausflüge nach Epernay und Reims sowie Verdun. Eine Einladung ins Schloss auf einen Drink und eine kleine Führung war auch ein Erlebnis. Vielen lieben Dank für diese schöne Woche bei Euch. LIebe Grüße Andreas, Elke und Emely

Beautiful estate - relax, turn yourself off and enjoy the beautiful surroundings

First of all, I can only give praise the estate Domaine de la Grange aux Champs. The parc is very authentic, with plenty of paths to explore, and plenty of surprises to see. We even saw four deer at dawn, trying to graze some gras, just 100 meter away from the holiday houses! There are 2 holiday apartments, La Leurande is located in the old servants houses. It is therefore in original old style (incl screeking stairs!) but the rooms are newly done and all appliances are available and clean. It has two rather big gardens which are secluded and enclosed. And of course, everything is just steps away from the pool, trampoline and swings. The kids could have stayed at the estate all day every day… We however wanted to explore the surroundings as well. That is what you should know though: everything is at quite a distance, so all car dependent. Worth the 1 hour drive are definitely Reims, Epernay and Verdun though! The village Nettancourt is a bit more than a street with a bakery open every morning. The Lidl supermarket is in a nearby town (10 min drive) and restaurants we only visited in the bigger towns we traveled to, thus further away. But if you are looking for a relaxed time in the most amazing estate, with a comfortable, beautiful kept holiday home and enjoying all facilities, a book and a good bottle of champagne/wine, you are at the right place! Thank you Mr and Mrs Morillion for allowing us to experience this little bit of paradise!

Wunderbarer Urlaub - tolle Unterkunft

Ganz herzlichen Dank für die tolle Unterkunft. Uns hat es sehr gefallen. Alles hat gepasst. Der Park ist wunderschön, weitläufig und sehr gepflegt. Wir haben jeden Abend mit unserem Hund einen schönen Saziergang machen können. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub

Wir hatten trotz des wenig sommerlichen Wetters einen sehr angenehmen Urlaub in dem hübschen Ferienhaus. Die wenigen sommerlichen Tage haben wir für das Relaxen am Pool genutzt. An den anderen Tagen haben wir Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht: Chalons-en-Champagne, Bar-le-Duc, Epernay, Metz, Lac-de-Madine und auch ein Tag in Paris haben uns viele schöne Eindrücke von Frankreich beschert. Dank der wundervollen Gastfreundschaft der Fam. Morillion haben wir den Urlaub hier sehr genossen und empfehlen es gern weiter.

Viel Ruhe und ein herrlicher Pool

Wir haben 10 erholsame Tage im weitläufigen Cottage verbracht. Zwar gibt es noch ein weiteres Ferienhaus auf dem Gelände, doch wir hatten den Pool und den Tennisplatz immer für uns. Eingebettet in einen wunderschönen Garten, bietet das Cottage unvergessliche Naturmomente (auch ein Eisvogel ließ sich blicken). Auch positiv: Es gibt einen guten Bäcker im Dorf, der freitags Pizzen und sehr gute Burger anbietet. Die Vermieter waren darüber hinaus überaus liebenswert. Nur schade, dass die Dörfer in der Umgebung wenig lebendig sind. Man muss also immer etwas fahren.

Leven als God in Frankrijk

De Nederlandse uitdrukking 'Leven als God in Frankrijk' wordt met een verblijf in La Leurande werkelijkheid. Wat een charme en uitstraling heeft deze vakantiewoning. En de allerhartelijkste ontvangst op het château maakte de ervaring compleet. Wij waren hier voor de tweede keer en waarschijnlijk niet voor het laatst.

Nice place

Very nice and quiet place. The apartment and the pool could have been cleaned better but it may be a seasonal thing. There is some noise from the road nearby but it is just the local traffic. That said, the area and the huge garden has its own habitat going on. You get to hear the birds and see a grazing deer (there was a regular one in the fields next door) all the time, which is very restful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Heerlijk verblijf op prachtig landgoed. Paradijs voor (kleine) kinderen

We hebben echt een heerlijke week gehad in de gite. Prachtig landgoed met (verwarmd) zwembad, tennisbaan, schommels, trampoline en een bos om door te wandelen. Ons zoontje van 3 vond het er geweldig. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. We kregen een tour door het chateau en werden ontvangen met wijn en eigen gemaakte appelsap. Ook als je met twee gezinnen bent ideaal, want er is nog een gite op het terrein. In de buurt niet heel veel te beleven, maar genoeg kleine plaatsjes en marktjes in de buurt voor een uitstapje. Echt een aanrader!

Amazing holiday, charming gite, wonderful stay

We had an amazing time in Nettancourt. When we arrived at this large property, we were pleasantly surprised. A warm welcome from the owners, watching the castle and the look and feel of this very clean and good utilised gite. Everything we need to have a wonderful holiday: clean gite, modern facilities (washing machine, oven, good WiFi), perfect swimmingpool , bbq, trampoline and tenniscourt. Walking in the property: Gardens, forrest, sheep. The bakery is 5 mins walking to have daily fresh Bread and croissants. To make it even better: our hosts Mrs and Mr Morillion made us feel very welcome, we had nice conversations and learned us about the history of this old castle and the adventures in the past. Very child friendly, we will definately come back in the future.
